It all started when young Filipino female celebrity Andrea Brillantes challenged social media personality AkoSi Dogie to a 5v5 match in the popular mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB). Each player had eventually formed a team of their own for the showdown with Brilliantes, known in MLBB as Blythe, enlisting Eric "Eruption" Tai and pro gamers Rafflesia, Ribo and Z4pnu and AkoSi Dogie recruiting Hate, RENEJAY, OhMyV33nus and MLBB live stream personality ChooxTV. When the fated matchup commenced and subsided, it was Team AkoSi Dogie who managed to win the series (2-1 in Bo3 Draft Mode, 1-0 in Classic Mode) which was a contentedly heated battle, and this pretty much sums up the recently concluded 515 E-Party MLBB All-Star Showmatch held virtually last May 22, 2021.
The 515 E-Party MLBB All-Star event also featured some of the best professional MLBB gamers in the Philippines in 1v1 matches where Heat, OhMyV33nus and Z4pnu have scored wins (1-0) over Ribo, Rafflesia and RENEJAY. Each player has showcased their skills and prowess to the delight of MLBB fans and gaming enthusiasts using highly mechanical heroes Chou, Paquito, Popol and Kupa, and Kagura. The fans were also in for a treat with multiple giveaways being received throughout the showmatch via different codes flashed on the live stream with each containing random in-game prizes. The 515 E-Party MLBB All-Star Showmatch is just a huge part of the month-long MLBB E-Party Celebration filled with in-game events and content from other well-known MLBB personalities and online celebrities.
Aside from AkoSi Dogie and Andrea Brilliantes, MLBB fans can also check out MLBB content from other personalities including Jomar Lavena, Jamill, Niel Pacilla, Riva Quenary, Mika Salamanca, Boss Keng, Beks Battalion and Mimiyuuuh on their respective YouTube channels such as a short film, make-up transformations, recreating their favorite MLBB heroes and more. In-game, MLBB players were given various freebies and prizes in the 515 E-Party Login bonus event. Then by logging in each day during the event period, players were able to win in-game items such as skin fragments, in-game effects and a free hero. Giveaways were also available on TikTok via TikTok Treats with free skin giveaways to lucky fans.
This year's MLBB 515 E-Party Celebration also saw the debut of the game's first virtual music group S.T.U.N. comprising of Chou, Brody and Selena and its first song "TOGETHER" which happens to be the event's main theme. The official music video of the song was released on May 8, 2021 and is now available on MLBB's YouTube channel. The community was also invited to be a part of the said release with popular Filipino dance crews Rock Well PH, FCPC Baliktanaw and Mastermind doing their own dance covers of the song. As part of the collaboration, fans have also posted their own dance covers of the song on social media with the hashtag #515DanceChallenge for a chance to win a limited edition S.T.U.N. skateboard.
The celebration of MLBB does not start and end with the 515 E-Party as the number one MOBA game in the Philippines and Southeast Asia looks to have more in-game events in the foreseeable future.
