Due to the pandemic, families are now opting to live away from crowded city centers and are yearning for the freedom and safety of the outdoors. Those with high regard for nature can find such just two and a half hours away from Metro Manila. AboitizLand's Seafront Residences located in Brgy. Calubcub II, San Juan, Batangas takes resort living further because of its pawikan nature reserve. The 43-hectare beachside development, including the shoreline, has been officially designated as a prime nesting ground for endangered olive ridley sea turtles.

AboitizLand understands that maintaining paradise entails commitment and community engagement which is why the seawater and shorelines of Seafront Residences are properly maintained to enable sea turtles to nest there every year considering that despite having a long life span, these are known to be very sensitive to sea conditions and could alter their behavior when choosing their nesting sites but many hatchlings don't survive to adulthood, driving marine turtles to near extinction. Aside from daily clean-ups, AboitizLand "adopts" nests found along the shorelines outside the development so they can be adequately managed and the hatchlings will eventually be returned to the sea.

These efforts are part of AboitizLand's 5-year Pawikan Conservation Program in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and the University of the Philippines Diliman Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology. Within the program's first three years, AboitizLand has completed profiling of sea turtles in the area and their nesting sites and created beach zones to identify and evaluate safe areas. Another aspect of the program is providing jobs and volunteer opportunities in animal conservation for BatangueƱos from nearby towns as well as community vecinos (residents or neighbors in Spanish). With the engagement of local government units, the Pawikan Beach Patrol was established to help ensure the protection of endangered marine species through collaborative action by empowered stakeholders.

DPZ Co-Design, a Florida-based thought leader on New Urbanist communities, developed the development's environment-sensitive master plan while the acclaimed houses within the development are designed by BUDJI+ROYAL Architecture+Design with timeless Filipino architecture as inspiration. Blessed with a vista of Mt. Banahaw and Tayabas Bay, the beachside retreat in Batangas offers residents an enriching, restorative work-from-paradise lifestyle with options for biking along interconnected pathways, safe social distancing in shared spaced and lush pocket parks and running essential errands at the Seafront Town Center. A basketball court, the Seafront Crest Clubhouse (equipped with a roof deck with a viewing tower and houses a play area, multi-purpose hall, an infinity pool, kids' pool, pool deck and function rooms), and transect parks also contribute to the vecinos' sense of belonging and well-being. The experience of telecommuting from Seafront Residences is unmatched, whether one is managing a business or working from home.
