TikTok, the leading online destination for short-form video content, has been essentially instrumental for showcasing and discovering fresh, creative and highly entertaining Filipino talent and some of these talents were honored and recognized in the inaugural TikTok Awards Philippines held last July 4, 2021 which was presented in partnership with Globe Telecom and TM and streamed live exclusively on TikTok Philippines' official TikTok account.
Having grown as a platform for creativity and self-expression filled with varied content and a diverse community of creators, TikTok has transformed many of its users for the better more particularly in the Philippines. These users who have helped build and mold the TikTok community into the inclusive and safe space that it is today where anyone can truly be themselves. In turn, TikTok continues to uphold the safety of its community as its number one priority. TikTok has gone beyond providing entertainment and expanded into a place where you can learn important lessons and vital information needed in one's everyday life. The game-changing platform has also been instrumental in nation-building, playing an active role in supporting the community during times of need and throughout the pandemic.
Hosted by international singing sensation Billy Crawford and voice talent Inka Magnaye, the monumentally successful awards show featured impressive and trending musical performances from SB19, Donnalyn Bartolome, Zendee, Sofia Pablo, Ella Cruz, DJ Loonyo, Mark Herras, Edgar Allan Guzman, Yumi Garcia, Mannex Manhattan, Moira Dela Torre, Gloc-9, Shanti Dope, Rico Blanco, Maris Racal, Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero, Sanya Lopez, Dasuri Choi and Yanyan De Jesus.
