Do you happen to miss taking part in fun runs and attending sporting events because of the effects of the pandemic? Well, it's best to gear yourselves up for one unique adventure with the first Jurassic World-themed virtual augmented reality (AR) run in Asia-Pacific as participants of all ages from the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand will be the first to experience the thrills of Jurassic World RUN!, an immersive experience featuring the dinosaurs of the popular Jurassic World franchise.
Runners can participate and take part in the inaugural run individually, in teams of two and even as parent-child pairs. Participants can unlock the adventure anytime and anywhere, at their own convenience, even right at their own neighborhoods. The Jurassic World franchise has entertained generations of audiences around the world with thrilling and awe-inspiring stories and characters for more than 25 years - from films and television series, to video games and toys, to live action experiences and rides at Universal theme parks. The Jurassic World RUN! Asia Pacific 2021 introduces a new layer of entertainment to runners as they complete their distances through a highly themed adventure. Through MOVE By LIV3LY, each participant will have a unique immersive experience, enhanced by augmented reality images, in which runners will need to run at their best to escape Isla Nublar.
As they progress, runners will encounter their favorite and most feared Jurassic World dinosaurs and unlock successive milestones of assistance that will enable them ultimately to escape Isla Nublar. Runners can clock-in their run times and distances and unlock these successive milestones by using the MOVE By LIV3LY app. They may also use wearables or preferred running trackers by syncing them to the app. There will be three distances available - 5k, 10k, 21k - depending on how long runners want their own Jurassic World adventure to be. There is also a 10k category for parent and child pairings, allowing families to experience the run together. Alternatively, a team of two can compete in 21k and meet the larger-than-life dinosaurs together. Finishers for all categories are entitled to an exclusive finisher T-shirt, a breathable polycotton T-shirt sporting the Jurassic World RUN! logo and the iconic T-Rex on the back, while those who finish 10k and 21k will receive their own finisher medal with a 3D-embossed T-Rex.
Jurassic World RUN! Asia Pacific 2021 is organized by Singapore-based M.I.C.E. (meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions) and project management company CNeX and powered by LIV3LY, a social fitness marketplace for mass participation events in Asia Pacific. The virtual run is produced in conjunction with Universal Parks And Resorts. Registration via either jurassicworldrun.com or the MOVE By LIV3LY app which is available to download for free on Google Play and Apple App Store is open until September 29, 2021. The actual clock in period for the virtual run can be anytime from July 26 to September 30, 2021. All participants are required to adhere strictly to the laws and regulations of their respective country of residence for their safety and well-being while the run is taking place.
