More and more Globe Telecom subscribers can now enjoy crisp, clear and uninterrupted calls in the safety and comfort of their own homes in just a few easy swipes as the telecommunications company expands its Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) and Voice Over WiFi (VoWiFi) capabilities to more users. Addressing the need for richer and better call experiences that help people keep in touch with one another, Globe continues to roll out these technologies to more of its postpaid customers to ensure that they can make and take unbroken calls during emergencies, important occasions or work conversations or as they strive to maintain connections with friends and family even as the pandemic keeps everybody apart.
When faced with poor indoor signal connectivity, Globe postpaid customers can improve their voice calls by simply activating their VoWiFi on their mobile phones. VoWiFi, also known as WiFi calling, amplifies network coverage in areas with poor signal quality, allowing calls to be made through WiFi instead of a 4G LTE or 3G HSPA+ mobile network. Meanwhile, with VoLTE, customers can enjoy high-definition voice calls while simultaneously gaming, streaming or web browsing over the LTE network. Activating and using VoWiFi and VoLTE features are free of charge and take three simple steps. For VoWiFi, users need to go to their phone's Connection Settings, tap WiFi Calling and turn on WiFi as their preferred calling preference. For VoLTE, just tap Voice and Data and activate VoLTE after going to their phone's Connection Settings.
