Philippine media giant GMA Network continues to lead not just in broadcast communication but also in digital platforms as it marks another social media milestone surpassing two million followers on short-video sharing application TikTok. Three of GMA's top content that contribute to its number of follower growth include videos from highly-rating Kapuso series such as Maria Clara at Ibarra, Abot Kamay na Pangarap, and Running Man Philippines. Today, GMA Network is considered to be one of the fastest-growing accounts on Tiktok.

Last October, GMA launched the #KapusoSeryeReview campaign wherein TikTok content creators are encouraged to make short features about any Kapuso series in a form of review, rating, and etc. The said campaign garnered over 30 million combined views as of today. Recently, GMA and TikTok Philippines also initiated the KaKoLAB2022 event to celebrate Kapuso TikTok content creators and acknowledge best participants from the #KapusoSeryeReview campaign. According to Alex Soon of TikTok Philippines, the said event also gives artists and content creators the opportunity to collaborate and learn from one another in creating online content.

“The event is called KaKoLAB, it's basically where we have Kapuso stars and TikTok [content] creators collaborate to create content, where they get to learn from each other and basically create content, and make a community. Also, we enable real people to be their very own content creators,” she said in an interview with GMANetwork.com. Among the Sparkle GMA Artist Center artists who were present during the KaKoLAB 2022 were Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters star Mikee Quintos, Sparkle love team Jamir Zabarte at Zonia Mejia, Underage actresses Elijah Alejo and Hailey Mendes, as well as new Kapuso talent Shuvee Etrata. Videos from the said fun event of artists and content creators now have 18 million combined views. The event is set to take place at 123 Block in Mandala Park on February 4, 2022 (Saturday) from 6:00 pm onwards. After countless Zoom meetings and remote collaboration, we are so excited to finally have the chance to create and perform live together once again,” the indie-folk outfit shares in a statement. The reunion show is also the band’s way of expressing gratitude to their fans who have continued to support and inspire them through their journey as musicians. We’re planning to play a long set, maybe even our longest ever. We’ve got some special guests lined up and a few surprises planned for the evening,” the Traces act explains.
