ABS-CBN's Primetime Shows Earn More Than 642 Million Views On Kapamilya Online Live

Filipinos nationwide are hooked on ABS-CBN’s primetime shows as the three programs amassed more than 642 million total views on Kapamilya Online Live from February to April 2023. In April alone, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo", "The Iron Heart" and “Dirty Linen” earned over 194 million combined views on Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Facebook page, which currently has 36 million followers, and on its YouTube channel with 43.7 million subscribers.

GMA Network Marks Strong Online Presence In 2022

Broadcast giant GMA Network continues its strong performance beyond television and radio, further posting impressive traffic growth performance on various online platforms. Data from Google Analytics show that the Network's official website GMANetwork.com generated 1.8 billion page views from 179 million unique users in 2022. The number one Philippine media conglomerate across TV, radio, and online platforms further flexes its social media presence with more and more netizens following GMA’s social media accounts.

Consolidated 2022 data covering GMA’s official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok show that the Kapuso Network’s total social media audience jumped to a 32 percent increase from 2021 with 275 million followers and subscribers. Likewise, the videos published on the network’s social media accounts continue to surge with the total video views reaching 31 billion — which raked in a 13-percent increase from 2021 according to data from CrowdTangle, SproutSocial, and Tubular Labs. For the first quarter of 2023, GMA Network’s social media followers posted an eight percent increase with a total of 296 million followers across various social media platforms.

Media giant GMA Network, Inc. recently promoted Joy C. Marcelo as the Vice President of Sparkle GMA Artist Center. Prior to joining Sparkle, Marcelo was the program manager for various GMA Public Affairs programs including "Imbestigador", "Wish Ko Lang"and "AHA!", the latter of which she conceptualized herself. She served as the program manager for these shows from the years 2006 to 2014.

In 2014, she then moved to GMA Network's talent management arm Sparkle GMA Artist Center as a talent manager and unit head. Thanks to her efforts, Marcelo has played an integral role in boosting the careers of some of the top Kapuso stars today such as Gabbi Garcia, Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, and recently crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee. Marcelo was then appointed as Sparkle's Assistant Vice President in January 2022. Under her direction, the talent management arm has grown exponentially leading to grand launches and huge events. Some of the talent agency's biggest achievements include the launch of the Sparkle brand, Sparkle's Next Brightest Stars, Sparkada, and the Sparkle Teens.
