Rundolph "Bogs" Abanto, head teacher of CENTEX (Center for Excellence in Public Elementary Education) Batangas in Barangay Aplaya, Bauan, Batangas, expressed his gratefulness and thanked the Provincial Government of Batangas, led by Hon. Governor Hermilando I. Mandanas, for its support to the school. In an interview on the provincial public service radio program Biyaheng Kapitolyo last July 2, 2024, Abanto shared that the Hermilando I. Mandanas Open Classroom built in 2018 has been a big part of the school's academic and sports events as well as the formal opening of the two-storey, six-classroom Regina R. Mandanas Memorial Building held last June 24, 2024 and the variety of materials that the school has been receiving from the provincial government during the annual Brigada Eskwela including the distribution of 25 laptop computers for teachers.

The principal also proudly announced that CENTEX Batangas was awarded the National “Best Brigada Eskwela Implementor” – Elementary Medium School Category recognition in the 2021 Education Support Service Division (ESSD) Awards by the Department of Education (DepEd). They also won special awards including Best Partnership Engagement and Best Home Learning Space. CENTEX, a public elementary school, was established in the year 2000 through a “tripartite partnership” of the Batangas Provincial Government, DepEd and Ayala Foundation Inc. Aside from the usual academic subjects, students also have "reinforcement subjects or after-school hours programs" held every Friday afternoon which aim to hone their skills and talents in the field of culture and art. In this regard, the students of CENTEX Batangas showcased their prowess through the staging of a recital entitled "Ani Ng Sining" held at Bauan Colleges last May 18, 2024.

CENTEX Batangas in the municipality of Bauan continues to grow, which currently has 607 students and 26 teachers. Abanto emphasized his gratitude for the tireless support of the provincial government, DepEd, Ayala Foundation, Bauan Municipal LGU, dedicated and hardworking teachers and all the parents of CENTEX Batangas students. He also informed students from other towns and cities in the province that CENTEX Batangas is open to all who wish to enter and be included in the said school. Among the steps taken by the school management in the future is the opening of a Junior High School.
