realme Gives Back To The Community, Wrapping Up FanFest 2024

Following this year’s FanFest in August, realme Philippines wraps up the festivities by reaffirming its commitment to the community. The smartphone brand once again partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) roadshow for 2024. Held last September 18, 2024, the event took place at Space and Time Cube +, an interactive museum in S Maison at Conrad Manila situated within the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City. “The community is one of the driving forces of the realme team and we want to express our utmost gratitude through this CSR activity. In collaboration with Make-A-Wish Philippines and together with our media partners, we’re hoping to put a smile on the children’s faces,” said realme Philippines’ Communications Lead Patty Gonzales. 

This year, 15 Make-A-Wish Philippines beneficiaries sent their wishes to realme for tablets to use for school and entertainment purposes. On top of granting the children’s wishes, realme Philippines also organized an interactive art tour for them at Space and Time Cube +. The children were accompanied by their families to guide them through immersive exhibits designed to engage their creativity and curiosity. Members of the media also took part in the CSR activity, joining the children and their guardians in exploring the various installations. To make sure that they can reminisce about the meaningful experience, the media used the realme 13 Pro Series 5G to capture every moment even in low light conditions. After the tour, realme fulfilled the wishes of the 15 children by gifting each of them a brand new realme Pad Mini, enabling them to continue their educational and entertainment pursuits.

PLDT, Smart To Boost ARTA's eBOSS Program With Donation Of 100 Computer Units For LGUs

Leading integrated telco network PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and its wireless arm Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) are reinforcing the government's push to enable more local government units (LGUs) improve efficiency, reduce red tape, and enhance business environment, by donating hardware to help them set-up their own Electronic Business One-Stop Shops (eBOSS). In partnership with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), PLDT and Smart are providing an initial batch of 100 computer units to boost the nationwide rollout of the eBOSS program, an ARTA-led initiative that seeks to automate the processing of business permits, related clearances, and licenses in all cities and municipalities across the country.

The partnership was solidified by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) inside the PLDT headquarters in Makati City led by ARTA Secretary Ernesto Perez and PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan. Under the MOA, PLDT and Smart will also help in the digital upskilling of local government partners. "We are glad to have partners in government like ARTA who believe in nurturing a business environment where bureaucracy can truly serve the people and help entrepreneurs prosper. This reaffirms our commitment to supporting the PBBM administration in whatever way we can, and our dedication to helping the country achieve its goals of inclusive growth and improved ease of doing business through technology,” said Pangilinan.
