Global K-Pop Icons SEVENTEEN, Award-Winning Bleeding Fingers Team Up On Original Track For BBC's Original Natural History Series "Asia"

BBC Studios Natural History Unit recently debuted its global trailer for "Asia", the latest natural history series narrated by Sir David Attenborough which explores the wildlife and landscapes of our planet’s largest continent. The awe-inspiring two-minute series trailer released last October 10, 2024 features original music by global K-pop icon SEVENTEEN and award-winning composers Jacob Shea and Laurentia Editha of Bleeding Fingers. Spanning the continent, the trailer reveals some of the extraordinary creatures and wondrous landscapes uncovered in the series showcasing the diversity of wildlife from this incredible part of our planet. Audiences will see remarkable behaviour across this seven-part series including urban deer on the commute with workers in Japan and an alien sea bunny slithering on the Indonesian ocean floor – Asia is a continent like no other.

With the biggest selling album world-wide in 2023, SEVENTEEN made history by becoming the first K-pop act to perform on Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage earlier this year as they continue to take the world by storm. This original uplifting track, with vocals by SEVENTEEN’s DK and SEUNGKWAN, transports the viewer on an emotional journey through Asia with the orchestral swells from the renowned Bleeding Fingers accompanying the breath-taking imagery. The first look extended trailer can now be viewed on multiple channels including the official Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts of BBC Earth and BBC Studios as well as on-air globally via BBC Earth. It is also seen on the social media accounts of SEVENTEEN and Bleeding Fingers. "Asia", initially made for BBC One and iPlayer, is created and co-produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit with BBC America, ZDF and France Télévision and was commissioned by BBC Studios Head of Commissioning for Specialist Factual Jack Bootle with Roger Webb serving as Executive Producer, Matthew Wright as Series Producer and BBC Studios Head of Commissioning for Natural History Sreya Biswas as Commissioning Editor. The series comprising of seven hour-long episodes is distributed worldwide by BBC Studios and is seen exclusively on-air via BBC Earth and online thru BBC's iPlayer.
