In a joint effort to bolster the digitalization of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Philippines, PLDT Enterprise and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have solidified their partnership to provide small business owners across the country with the digital tools and support needed to thrive in today’s competitive market. With a unified mission to grow and boost this segment, the collaboration seeks to take both organizations’ shared vision of empowering MSMEs to achieve greater resilience and growth in the digital economy to the next level in the coming months and years.

Through the MSME Day Roadshows, PLDT Enterprise and DTI are working hand in hand to provide micro businesses with access to digital upskilling, reliable connectivity, and mentorship opportunities. On the other hand, through the partnership of the two organizations, these entrepreneurs are given the platform to showcase their products and services while also gaining access to critical tools to succeed in the digital landscape. Some key highlights of the roadshows included sessions on making informed financial decisions to help MSMEs manage their resources effectively, discussions about internet safety, security, and the basics of AI. The event also invited industry experts to share insights on intellectual property, e-commerce success, and the legalities of online selling, and cascading of strategies for reaching wider markets and expanding business horizons.

“Through our ongoing MSME Day roadshows, we’re providing businesses of all sizes with the support and digital solutions they need to reach new markets and drive sustainable growth. Our partnership with DTI is crucial in scaling these efforts nationwide, ensuring that even the smallest businesses have the resources they need to thrive in today’s digital-first economy," said PLDT Enterprise's Head of Small and Micro Business Euan Toralballa. As part of its commitment to the growth of small businesses, PLDT Enterprise has actively supported digital transformation initiatives such as the MSME Day Roadshows which have been held in key cities across the Philippines, including Iloilo and Dipolog, with upcoming events scheduled for Pampanga and General Santos City later this year. These roadshows provide a platform for MSMEs to learn about the latest digital tools and technologies, network with potential partners, and explore new opportunities for growth.

Through its partnerships with both DTI and other key stakeholders, PLDT Enterprise is continuously working to create a more inclusive and digitally empowered MSME sector in the Philippines. By providing businesses with the necessary tools, infrastructure, and support, PLDT Enterprise is helping to pave the way for a more resilient and competitive economy, one that thrives on the success of small and medium-sized enterprises.
