Taipei Game Show 2025 Concludes With Nearly 370,000 Visitors Over Four Days

Taipei Game Show 2025 officially came to a close, welcoming nearly 370,000 visitors over its four-day run — a new milestone in its steady annual growth. The B2C Zone was bustling with enthusiastic crowds, while the B2B Zone attracted over 1,800 business visitors from 43 countries. Meeting rooms were nearly fully booked, marking a strong start for global gaming industry exchanges this year. Asia Pacific Game Summit also saw packed audiences across its 19 sessions of talks and panel discussions, providing industry professionals with insights into the latest trends and technologies. With this success, the organizers are looking forward to the next edition of the Taipei Game Show set for January 29-February 1, 2026. 

This year's event, held last January 23-26, 2025 at TaiNEX 1, features 346 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, spanning 1,405 booths and showcasing over 350 games including more than 100 brand-new, unreleased titles. The opening ceremony was graced by Deputy Minister Yi-Jing Lin of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Deputy Director General Ya-Ping Huang of the Administration for Digital Industries, Taipei Computer Association Paul SL Peng, and other distinguished guests from home and abroad. Exhibitors pulled out all the stops to captivate attendees. The event's highlights included appearances by South Korean cheerleading star Lee Da-hye, renowned fighting game player Oil King, as well as other game developers, top streamers, eSports athletes, and cosplayers. 

Asia Pacific Game Summit Draws Full Houses – B2B Zone Facilitates Active Networking Across 43 Countries
The first two days of the TGS featured Asia Pacific Game Summit, which offered 19 sessions of talks and panels. Renowned speakers from Taiwan, the Czech Republic, the United States, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Japan shared insights on six key themes: Game Development, Game Operations and Marketing, Generative AI, Indie Game, eSports, and Monetization. In addition, Asia Pacific Game Summit collaborated with the National Development Council Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency to present the highly anticipated “AI Forum”. The forum offered in-depth insights into the latest AI applications and trends, covering topics such as generative AI, 5G, AIoT, edge computing, and edge AI. It not only provided a detailed analysis of each subject but also directly addressed potential challenges that may arise with technological advancements. With high-profile speakers on stage, the event drew great attention from the attendees, filling every session to capacity. Meanwhile, the B2B Zone buzzed with activity, welcoming over 1,800 business visitors from 43 countries. Across nearly 2,000 meeting sessions, participants from all corners of the industry networked and exchanged ideas. The vibrant atmosphere led to numerous international collaboration proposals and discussions. Indie game developers especially benefited from connecting with international publishers, creating new opportunities to bring their work to global markets. 

Non-Stop Excitement Inside The Venue – Cheerleaders And Stunning Cosplayers Steal the Show
The B2C Zone was packed with highlights at every turn! Nintendo’s expanded booth drew massive crowds early in the day, with Mario Ambassador Charles Martinet making his first-ever appearance in Taiwan to meet and interact with fans, creating huge hype among gamers. Popular games like Arknights and GIRLS FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM also ignited excitement, featuring famous cosplayers bringing tactical dolls to life with incredible detail. Among them, Cosplayer Alia transformed into the new character Dai Yan, pairing her performance with a guzheng musical accompaniment and interactive scenery, fully immersing players in the game’s world. In addition, unreleased title The Big Bang of Time took players on a fantastical adventure with its time-travel theme, combining captivating dancer performances with interactive mini-games. Meanwhile, Azur Lane welcomed popular Japanese cosplayer にゃるまー (Nyaruma), who generously handed out limited-edition merchandise to fans. Ragnarok Online 3 also made its grand debut at the GRAVITY booth, attracting a devoted crowd of loyal fans. The newly-formed Kafra girls, composed of professional baseball and basketball cheerleaders, lit up the stage with energetic singing and dancing, earning enthusiastic cheers and applause from the audience. Their performance brought vibrant energy to the venue, becoming one of the event’s top highlights. 

Over 350 Games Thrill The Visitors Plus Exciting Stage Performances
Taiwan’s renowned game publisher and distributor JUSTDAN brought exciting new titles like Monster Hunter Wilds and The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy to the show floor, where they made their Taiwan debut as playable demos. Trial tickets were gone in a flash as eager gamers rushed to experience these fresh adventures firsthand. Clouded Leopard Entertainment turned up the excitement with a special stage for Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist featuring Binary Haze Interactive CEO and Creative Director Hiroshi Kobayashi. Kobayashi shared exclusive insights into the game’s latest updates and gave a behind-the-scenes look at its development, which resonated strongly with the audience. Meanwhile, fans of dark action RPGs gathered in droves for Path of Exile 2 where popular streamer “PFY” wowed the crowd with his masterful gameplay, making it one of the show’s unmissable highlights. The first day of TGS Stage was headlined by the classic game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and the hit mobile game Monster Strike, a fan-favorite action mobile game operating in Taiwan for over 10 years. To celebrate the upcoming release of its new limited character "Pan Gu," Monster Strike held a special stage event featuring Vtuber Karasu Ch. Karasu Ch. performed an ASMR reading to welcome the new character, alongside a series of surprises and giveaways, drawing eager fans who arrived early to grab the best spots. On the final day of the event, not only were there large numbers of visitor, but families were also out in full force, enjoying games together with smiles all around. The afternoon’s star-pass session saw an overwhelming surge of attendees. Across the four days, booths featured an incredible lineup of games including RATATAN and BrownDust2 which hosted a series of special activities. KOEI TECMO wowed the crowd with Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land and Venus Vacation PRISM - DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme, two of the show’s standout highlights. In addition, the exclusive collector’s edition of Dynasty Warriors: Origins created a buying frenzy. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, Gemdrops captivated attendees with the charming PICO PARK 2, while Sofia in Exchange for Lies, a collaborative effort between MUTAN and storynote, garnered praise for its unique aesthetic. The excitement didn’t stop there. Clouded Leopard Entertainment brought the Falcom jdk BAND from Japan’s Falcom to the stage, electrifying the crowd with live performances of iconic tracks. Fans went wild, cheering and waving props in sync with the music. Cygames hosted an intense tournament for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, where dazzling moves and incredible strategies left spectators in awe. At the Street Fighter 6 booth, a special stage event unveiled the popular new character Mai Shiranui, available for the first time at TGS. Producer Shuhei Matsumoto and Director Takayuki Nakayama also made an appearance to share the latest updates. Meanwhile, RO: Ragnarok Online, a popular game, unveiled its 2025 plans and the game’s future roadmap. On the stage for Wuthering Waves, several popular Taiwanese streamers delivered a fun and interactive experience, further heightening the festive atmosphere. The TGS STAGE was filled with non-stop excitement, featuring friendship matches for Nintendo Switch games including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Splatoon in a thrilling showdown among players from Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Competitors showcased their exceptional skills and put on an impressive display of gameplay. Additionally, the producer of GUILTY GEAR Xrd -SIGN- Nintendo Switch Edition, Ken Miyauchi, took the special stage to highlight the game’s unique features and attract the audience with an exhibition match demonstrating its appeal. Lastly, the six-year anniversary Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six community appreciation event brought the house down, with a popular streamer kicking off the show with an electrifying performance. TGS also featured national pavilions with the “Czech Centre Taipei” and “Korea Creative Content Agency” presenting a variety of Czech and Korean games, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in international gaming while exploring rich cultural elements. Last but not least, the Tokyo Game Show booth made its debut, drawing eager players into a frenzy with its limited-edition merchandise. 

Indie Game Fans Break Language Barriers At Indie House – Laughter Fills The Final Day At The Board Game Wonderland
Riding the wave of the STEAM sale, the Indie House attracted massive crowds eager to try out new games. By the final day, many developers were losing their voices from engaging with so many visitors. While some international studios had to rely on gestures to communicate with players, their shared passion for games transcended language barriers. Many visitors, after trying out the demos, immediately added the games to their wishlists, excited to purchase and play them in the future. At the Board Game Wonderland, excitement reached new heights with the return of the adorable Ultraman Arc and life-sized characters from Cookierun Braverse: Trading Card Game, drawing children to stop for photos. The game tables were filled with laughter, as many parents took the chance to buy new board games, saying, "This Lunar New Year, we’ll play together." Meanwhile, board game companies and studios made the most of the final day by offering exclusive discounts, with sales and enthusiasm running high until the very end.
