In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, the Youth Charter proudly celebrates its ongoing commitment to empowering women and girls through sports, physical activity, cultural engagement, and artistic expression. By fostering participation in these areas, the organization aims to build confidence, resilience, and leadership among young women, creating a lasting impact on their lives and communities. For decades, the Youth Charter has developed initiatives that break barriers for women and girls in traditionally male-dominated fields. These programs extend beyond mainstream sports, integrating martial arts and combat sports as tools for self-defense, discipline, and mental strength.

“At the forefront of our mission is the belief that every girl and woman is entitled to equal access to sports and physical activity. We also recognize the importance of cultural and artistic expression in empowering women,” said Youth Charter Vice President Dame Sarah Storey. Sports and physical activity serve as essential platforms for gender equality, offering young women opportunities to build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, and foster a strong sense of community. The Youth Charter’s female ambassadors play a crucial role in advocating for equal participation and inspiring the next generation of athletes, artists, and leaders. A key focus of the Youth Charter’s mission is martial arts and combat sports which provide women with enhanced physical fitness, confidence, and personal safety. By encouraging young girls to take up these disciplines, the organization aims to instill discipline, perseverance, and self-empowerment, equipping them with essential skills for both personal and professional growth. Storey added, “Combat sports offer unique opportunities for empowerment and growth. The Youth Charter promotes martial arts as a means to enhance physical fitness, self-esteem, and personal safety.”

The Youth Charter invites individuals, communities, and organizations to support its mission by promoting participation in sports, the arts, and martial arts among women and girls. Creating inclusive environments where young women can thrive is essential to shaping future female leaders who will inspire generations to come. The organization urged, “Join us in celebrating the achievements of women and girls in sports and arts. Together, we can break barriers and create a world where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.” By advocating for equal access to sports, physical activity, and cultural expression, the Youth Charter remains dedicated to building a future where women and girls can reach their full potential—on and off the field.

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, BRAVE Combat Federation proudly joins the global movement in honoring the achievements of women in combat sports. Under this year’s theme The Year Of The BRAVE, BRAVE CF continues to push for inclusion, diversity, and empowerment across all levels of the sport. Women have long played an integral role in BRAVE CF’s success, both inside the cage and in key leadership positions. BRAVE CF’s Chief Operating Officer Valeria Lang is one of the most influential women in MMA today, redefining leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry. “Our mission at BRAVE CF is to create opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender, to excel. Women are integral to our success and symbolize the essence of bravery,” said Lang.

Beyond executive roles, BRAVE CF has actively promoted women in operational positions, including cutmen, referees, and event hosts. Vanessa Campos recently played a pivotal role in hosting the BRAVE CF 94 media day in Slovenia while BRAVE CF 73 made history when a female referee oversaw a main event for the first time in the promotion’s history. Inside the cage, women’s MMA has flourished under BRAVE CF’s platform. Fighters like Luana Pinheiro, the first female athlete to secure two victories under the organization, have paved the way for a new generation of stars including Sabrina, Monika, and Suchika. Their achievements extend beyond fight nights. Many of these athletes juggle careers, families, and advocacy work, proving that bravery goes beyond competition. Their performances inspire young girls worldwide, showing them that they, too, can thrive in combat sports. The rise of women’s engagement in MMA, both as competitors and fans, highlights the growing appeal of the sport. BRAVE CF has witnessed a significant increase in female viewership, driven by the skill, strategy, and resilience displayed in the cage.

Aligning with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Accelerate Action, BRAVE CF is committed to expand opportunities for female fighters, promote women in leadership roles within the organization, and create an inclusive fan experience. As BRAVE CF expands globally in 2025, with events in Switzerland, China, Slovenia, and Bulgaria, its commitment to equality in MMA remains stronger than ever. Beyond International Women’s Day, BRAVE CF salutes all women who exemplify courage, strength, and resilience, whether they are competing in the cage or advocating for equality in their communities.
