ABS-CBN Corporation, the premiere media and entertainment company in the Philippines, has officially concluded its partnership with TV5 Network Inc., acknowledging the ladder's termination of their content supply agreement, as announced in a statement released last December 17, 2025. It has also announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS) which will allow ABS-CBN's flagship channel Kapamilya Channel to air on ALLTV, marking the network's return to channel 2 on free TV after five years. :
Starting January 2, 2026, top-rating Kapamilya shows like FPJ's Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, and ASAP will no longer air on TV5 after ABS-CBN settled its financial obligations with Mediaquest in accordance with each other's agreements, leading both parties to mutually end their content partnership. On the other hand, starting on the said date, viewers of ALLTV will be able to watch these programs alongside It’s Showtime, TV Patrol, Rainbow Rumble, and Your Face Sounds Familiar as well as educational programs and local and international movies. Meanwhile, prime ABS-CBN programs will continue to be available on A2Z with It’s Showtime, Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0, and the upcoming primetime drama series The Secrets Of Hotel 88 airing on GMA, underscoring the Kapamilya network's multi-channel distribution strategy as part of its newfound direction as a global Filipino content creator following its indefinite absence on Philippine free TV due to the expiration of its recent legislative broadcast franchise in 2020. ABS-CBN has likewise expressed its gratitude to TV5 for being served as a broadcast home to several Kapamilya programs since 2021 including “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”, “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin”, “Can’t Buy Me Love”, “ASAP”, “Linlang”, “The Iron Heart”, “Everybody Sing”, “It’s Showtime”, “Pilipinas Got Talent” and “Pinoy Big Brother” among others and even collaborating for “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” and “Nag-Aapoy Na Damdamin” in 2023.
Now gearing up for full independence, TV5 reaffirms its commitment to fresh locally produced content aimed at delivering quality entertainment to Filipino viewers as it is all set to mount its strong lineup of all-original programs slated to air in 2026 — The Kingdom: Magkaibang Mundo, The Good Doctor, Project Loki, My Bespren Emman, The Secret In Prague, Tik Talks, Artista Academy, and Wilyonaryo — and well-loved ongoing programs such as “Eat Bulaga!”, “Face To Face Harapan”, “Frontline Pilipinas”, “Gud Morning Kapatid”, “Vibe”, “Sing Galing”, “Totoy Bato”, and “Kapatid Mo, Idol Raffy Tulfo”. ABS-CBN remains committed to deliver stories, news, and entertainment that bring love, joy, and hope to Filipino families with its initial lineup of upcoming programs for 2026 comprised of the psycho romantic drama series “Someone, Someday” starring Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, and Maja Salvador; “Love Is Never Gone,” a romantic-drama series starring Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi mostly set in Morocco; a new action-drama series starring Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson; and new seasons of “Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK)”, “Minute To Win It”, and “Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal”.
AMBS has been a partner of ABS-CBN since April 2024, carrying programs, including iconic Kapamilya shows under the Jeepney TV brand, as well as It’s Showtime and TV Patrol on ALLTV. Its licensing agreement with ABS-CBN deepens the collaboration between the two networks as ALLTV continues to strengthen its position in the local broadcast industry through a wider nationwide reach. Aside from cable and satellite TV and iWant, Kapamilya Channel will now be available on free TV via ALLTV on analog TV channel 2 and DTT channel 16 in Mega Manila and AMBS regional stations and to digital free TV box users nationwide starting January 2, 2026. ALLTV is also available on SKYcable channel 13, SkyTV channel 4, Cignal channel 35, and channel 2 on Cablelink, Planet Cable, and other pay TV operators.
