The Honor of Kings Invitational Season 4 (KIS4) Grand Finals is set to open its 2026 international eSports calendar in Jakarta, Indonesia on February 8, 2026 with a spectacular Opening Ceremony that brings together competitive gaming, Indonesian cultural heritage, and live music. Hosted at the GBK Basketball Hall, the opening celebrations will mark the first global Honor of Kings tournament of the year and position Jakarta at the center of the global eSports spotlight. Adding to the excitement, Afgan will take the stage as a special guest, performing three songs at the half-time show.
Celebrating Wayang Kulit Through Cultural Heritage And Digital Art
Ahead of the KIS4 Grand Finals, Honor of Kings presented the Wukong Skin “Anoman”, inspired by Indonesia’s traditional Wayang Kulit, through a special collaboration with the Indonesian National Museum. The collaboration featured a dedicated exhibition at the museum held last January 31-February 1, 2026, offering visitors an immersive cultural experience. On-site activities included a Wayang display and ImersifA, showcasing the fusion of traditional heritage and modern digital art.
A Cultural Opening Ceremony Rooted In Indonesian Heritage
The KIS4 Grand Finals Opening Ceremony will feature a curated cultural rundown that reflects Indonesia’s identity while welcoming the global Honor of Kings community. The ceremony will open with a special announcement from TiMi Sports Group's Honor of Kings Game Producer Dean Huang followed by official remarks from a representative official of PBESI (eSports Federation of Indonesia) and Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha, reflecting the growing recognition of eSports within Indonesia’s creative and cultural ecosystem. The ceremony will then transition into a large-scale cultural showcase with a highlight on a Wayang-inspired performance that reinterprets traditional storytelling through modern staging, lighting, and choreography. Additional cultural elements will include the Kecak Dance and a live performance of the official KIS4 theme song by Mukarakat and Indahkus. In a symbolic moment, an Anoman Wukong cosplay will ceremonially bring the KIS4 trophy onto the stage, followed by the official team walk-ins that will signal the start of the KIS4 Finals. Through this fusion of tradition and modern competition, the Opening Ceremony will showcase how Honor of Kings continues to celebrate local culture on a global eSports stage.
Afgan Set To Ignite The KIS4 Half-Time Show
Turning the finals into a full spectacle, Afgan is set to take over the KIS4 half-time show, bringing his signature vocals and chart-topping hits to the Honor of Kings global stage. One of Indonesia’s most iconic artists, Afgan will deliver a high-energy live performance designed to electrify the arena and captivate fans tuning in from around the world. He will take the stage to perform three fan-favorite songs: “Panah Asmara”, “Sampai Jumpa”, and “Kacamata”. Beyond the on-stage performance, Honor of Kings rolled out fan giveaway activities where lucky Indonesian fans were able to win exclusive Afgan merchandise and VIP tickets to the KIS4 finals.
