The first and only corporate-focused running event in the Philippines is making a powerful return as registration for the BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2026 is now open. In line with BPI’s 175th anniversary, this year’s run promises elevated energy, stronger collaboration, and a vibrant gathering of professionals from across industries. Now in its fourth year, the BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race, slated to take place on June 7, 2026 at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City, continues to champion health and wellness in the workplace while reinforcing support for United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) No. 3: Good Health and Well-being. What began as an employee activity has grown into a full-scale fitness movement, drawing teams from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), major corporations, and running clubs nationwide.
Runners of all levels can choose from four race categories — 3KM, 5KM, 10KM, and 21KM — with an expected 8,000 participants from various organizations joining the starting line. Teams of at least four will not only be running for personal bests, but also for recognition that celebrates speed, strength, and teamwork. These awards honor organizations that show what it truly means to run together. “At BPI, we believe that a thriving workforce begins with a strong commitment to wellness. The #BestLifeRun goes beyond competition — it’s a showcase of teamwork, resilience, and the shared pursuit of healthier living,” said BPI Chief Human Resources Officer Gina Eala. Beyond the finish line, the run carries a deeper purpose. Net proceeds will benefit BPI Foundation’s partner communities nationwide, allowing every step taken to help uplift others. Eala added, “We encourage organizations to be part of this meaningful effort — strengthening our corporate community while making a real difference in the lives of others.”
Registration details are available via @bpibestliferun on Instagram, BPI’s official Facebook page, and RUNRIO’s social media platforms. BPI corporate clients may also coordinate directly with their relationship managers for team registration. The energy continues even after crossing the finish line. Participants can enjoy an exciting race village filled with post-run activities, interactive booths, and engagement zones from event partners. Special awards will also be given to outstanding corporate teams, standout individual runners, and exceptional run clubs. This is more than just a run. It is a day of shared victories, laughter, and high-fives with colleagues who feel more like teammates and friends. Gather your office buddies, train together, and experience the joy of running as one community at the BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2026.

Meet The Lead Stars Of PETA's Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4

The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) officially announces the headlining cast of Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It’s Live Sa Cheter!, running on June 19-August 16, 2026 at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City. From two iconic films to a hit series, Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank has become beloved for its hyperreal, meta commentary on arts, culture, and society. The first film skewered the indie movie scene, the second tackled mainstream cinema, and the third confronted historical revisionism. This fourth installment turns its sharp gaze toward theater, but it doesn’t just peek behind the curtain; it tears it down entirely, exposing the messy, hilarious, and painfully relatable process of making theater in the Philippines today.
At the center of the mayhem is Eugene Domingo, returning as a gloriously amplified version of herself — navigating ego, ambition, and the beautiful absurdity of mounting a live show. Long celebrated for her fearless comedic brilliance, Domingo once again anchors the franchise with razor-sharp wit and impeccable timing. Joining her is a powerhouse lineup of theater-makers, all portraying exaggerated reflections of their real-life roles in the industry. Meann Espinosa, Stella Cañete-Mendoza, Andoy Ranay, and JC Santos step in as unapologetic artistas caught in the whirlwind of creative clashes and theatrical excess. Behind the scenes — but very much in front of the live audience — is Melvin Lee as the ever-resourceful (and ever-stressed) producer attempting to keep the production afloat. Marlon Rivera, who directed the franchise’s first three installments, steps into the chaos as the director within the play, while Joshua Lim So takes on the role of the resident playwright caught between revisions, rewrites, and relentless creative debates — desperately trying to keep his script, and his sanity, intact. The show is written by Chris Martinez, the creative force behind the first three Septic Tank installments. It will be directed by Maribel Legarda who helmed PETA’s hit productions Rak of Aegis and One More Chance The Musical with assistance from up-and-coming director Johnnie Moran. Set and costume design is by Gino Gonzales with music and sound design by Teresa Barrozo.
Tickets will be available via TicketWorld or bit.ly/SepticTank4Tickets. Ticket prices are Php3,500 (VIP), Php2,800 (Orchestra and Balcony Center), Php2,500 (Orchestra Side), and Php1,800 (Balcony Side). Audiences are encouraged to create their TicketWorld accounts in advance as tickets are expected to sell out fast. For more updates, follow @petatheater on social media.

Local ticketing company Ticket2Me marked its eighth anniversary with a refreshed platform and new features aimed at supporting event organizers and audiences in the Philippines. Founded in 2018, Ticket2Me has focused on simplifying ticketing for local promoters, venues, and communities. The platform was built to address issues its founders encountered while working as event producers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ticket2Me remained operational by introducing tools that allowed organizers to host and earn from online events. It also partnered with several fundraising efforts during the pandemic. These included donation initiatives linked to the office of former vice president and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, support for the Open House movement for Philippine theater workers, and campaigns for displaced workers in the film and performing arts sectors, as well as for emergency quarantine facilities in Metro Manila. “Ticket2Me was the product of my own experiences as a theater fan, show buyer, and entertainment producer here in the Philippines. We will always be committed to supporting the Filipino creative industry,” said Ticket2Me Founder and Chairmam Atty. Darwin Mariano. To mark the milestone, the company introduced a redesigned user interface and new tools including TicketFlex, a pay-what-you-can pricing option, and TicketForward, a donation feature. Other updates include customizable registration workflows designed for conferences and events that require participant information, waivers, or multiple entries.
Ticket2Me also introduced integration with Google Wallet for offline ticket access, improved mobile entry for venues, and options for organizers to sell vouchers and add-on merchandise. Buyers may also purchase tickets through staggered payment plans or through a guest mode that allows transactions without creating an account. The company has also launched an influencer marketing program in which its communications team works with micro- and macro-influencers to promote events through promotional codes and engagement campaigns. Ticket2Me CEO Julie Bautista said the company plans to continue improving its platform and customer support as the events industry grows, stating, “We’re excited about the future of live events and the overall experience economy not just in the Philippines but in the region, and we at Ticket2Me are ready to play our part in that story.”

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra continues its 41st concert season with PPO Concert VII on March 13, 2026 at the Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila featuring British soprano Katerina Mina under music director and principal conductor Grzegorz Nowak. Billed as Concert VII: Opera, the 7:30 pm program highlights major operatic works alongside contemporary composition, showcasing the orchestra’s range and Mina’s vocal repertoire.
The evening opens with the overture to La forza del destino by Giuseppe Verdi, followed by the aria “Pace, pace mio Dio” from the same opera. Verdi’s four-act work premiered in 1862 in St. Petersburg and centers on doomed lovers Leonora and Alvaro, whose relationship is undone by fate and revenge. Also on the program is “La mamma morta” from Andrea Chénier by Umberto Giordano. The aria, sung by Maddalena di Coigny, recounts her mother’s sacrifice during the French Revolution. Mina will perform “Vissi d’arte” from Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, in which the title character questions her suffering despite a life devoted to art and faith. The concert also includes “Angel of Fire” by Swiss composer Stephan Hodel, written for Mina and first featured on her 2018 debut album, recorded under Nowak. The album was later presented to Britain’s King Charles III. Completing the program is Ring Symphony by Filipino composer Jeffrey Ching, based on themes from The Ring of the Nibelung by Richard Wagner.
Born in Cyprus and based in London, Mina has performed leading roles including Turandot, Tosca, Brünnhilde, and Isolde. She has appeared with ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and has worked under the mentorship of British soprano Susan Bullock. Mina is a recipient of the Stockholm Culture Award. Tickets are priced from Php1,500 to Php3,000 and are available through TicketWorld with discounts for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, government and military personnel, and athletes. Season subscribers receive a 20 percent discount, according to the orchestra.

Vice Ganda expressed his gratitude for the success of the inaugural Philippines-Japan Film Festival 2026 where screenings for his Filipino blockbuster film “Call Me Mother” sold out over two days. The phenomenal box-office superstar graced the screenings in Tokyo along with director Jun Robles Lana where two of their Philippine blockbuster movies “Call Me Mother” and “And The Breadwinner Is…” were selected for the said film festival.
Vice shared during an interview following the screenings that he is delighted that his films resonated with both the Japanese and Filipino audiences that were in attendance, stating, “It was a wonderful experience. Audiences here also laughed and cried at the end, the same way viewers in the Philippines reacted. It’s really heartwarming because it means we were able to hit our goal. (It was a wonderful experience. ‘Yung tawa nila at ‘yung iyak nila sa dulo ay ganun din ‘yung nakita at naramdaman ko dito. Nakakatuwa kasi ibig sabihin nasapul namin ‘yung goal namin.)” Direk Jun also recalled a special moment at the event wherein a Japanese father approached him to share how emotionally moved he was after watching “Call Me Mother”, stating, “We’re very happy and surprised that viewers would share their personal stories. We want to tell stories that resonate with the Filipino audience and now, also globally. I think Filipino stories are ultimately very universal. (Nakakatawa at nakakagulat na nag-share sila ng personal stories. We want to tell stories that resonate with the Filipino audience and now, also globally. I think Filipino stories are ultimately very universal.)”
“And The Breadwinner Is…” follows OFW breadwinner Bambi (Vice) who stages her own death in exchange for money to help her family through a financial crisis. In “Call Me Mother,” Vice portrays a queer mother whose bond with her adoptive son is tested when the child’s biological mother seeks custody. The Philippines-Japan Film Festival 2026 marks Vice’s first appearance in an international film festival where “Call Me Mother” served as the festival’s opening film. The event was launched in line with the 2026 Philippines–Japan Friendship Year, highlighting cultural exchange between the two countries.
