“Hari Ng Aksyon Sa Ating Henerasyon (The Action King Of Today's Generation” Coco Martin thanked ABS-CBN, ALLTV2, A2Z, and TV5 for coming together to bring the highly-anticipated action series “Coco Martin’s Sigabo” to more viewers nationwide as the premiere episode registered a strong 404,124 peak concurrent viewers on YouTube last June 22. “Grateful kasi nandito lahat. Charo Santos-Concio Stars In Pioneering Filipino Animated Series “Sun Chaser”

Award-winning actress Charo Santos-Concio lends her voice to the pioneering Filipino animated fantasy series “Sun Chaser”, produced by Manila-based Toon City Animation and Playlab, which marks a milestone for Philippine animation as a creator-owned series developed and produced entirely in the Philippines while bringing Filipino mythology to a global audience. Charo joins an ensemble cast of Filipino and Filipino-American talents that includes Manny Jacinto, Liza Soberano, Eugene Cordero, Dingdong Dantes, Zia Dantes, J.R. De Guzman, and Star Magic artists AC Bonifacio and KD Estrada.
The animated fantasy adventure follows Jordan Santos (Manny), an ordinary teenager who arrives in the Philippines expecting a quiet summer vacation. His life is soon turned upside down when a supernatural threat plunges his island into chaos. As ancient powers awaken and long-buried family secrets come to light, Jordan discovers that he is destined to protect the boundary between the human and spirit worlds. At its core, “Sun Chaser” is a story about self-discovery, family, courage, and embracing one’s purpose amid extraordinary circumstances. The series was created by Filipino animation talents Bobby Pontillas and Bernard Badion. Bobby is a Disney Animation veteran whose credits include “Zootopia”, “Moana”, “Big Hero 6”, and “Wreck-It Ralph” and received an Academy Award nomination for the animated short film “One Small Step” in 2018. Meanwhile, Bernard has developed projects for major studios in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. including “Transformers: EarthSpark”.
“Sun Chaser” has already earned international recognition after winning the Animation du Monde Prize for international projects at Annecy/MIFA 2025, one of the animation industry’s most prestigious platforms for emerging animated projects and independent series. ABS-CBN Studios and Prime Video’s collaborative series “The Silent Noise” won Best Asian Content at the recently concluded Global OTT Awards 2026 held last June 20, 2026 in Seoul, South Korea. The limited mystery-thriller series has bested entries from Thailand, Japan, China, and Taiwan — touted for using silence as a powerful storytelling tool and balancing gripping suspense with emotional depth. Receiving the award on behalf of the show was its director Onat Diaz, expressing gratitude to the award-giving body and to those who made the show possible.
In his acceptance speech, Onat shared, “Winning this award will be very meaningful and encouraging for our team in the Philippines because it reaffirms our belief of fearlessly telling our stories with much passion, and create genuine interactions with our audiences that will cut across borders in different territories.” This feat is a first win for the Philippines in the Global OTT Awards and in its Best Asian Content category. On the other hand, its lead actress Angelica Panganiban earned a nomination in the Best Lead Actor (Female) category, competing with renowned talents from China, Japan, and South Korea. The recently concluded Global OTT Awards pays homage to the platforms, creators, and programs leading the streaming media across drama, variety, and music, featuring 14 competitive and five invitational categories.
“The Silent Noise” is a collaborative series by ABS-CBN Studios and Prime Video which also starred Zanjoe Marudo, Mylene Dizon, Zaijian Jaranilla, Mutya Orquia, and new child star KD Omalin. Rising OPM Band Off To Aurora Drops Debut EP

Rising OPM band Off To Aurora captures the many faces of love and commitment in their self-titled debut EP, a collection of songs about choosing to stay even when life feels uncertain. Showcasing the band’s signature blend of alternative rock and emotional storytelling, the EP features five tracks: “Sampung Hakbang”, “Bituin”, “Papalayo”, “Paglalaban”, and “Makikita Kang Muli”. Together, the songs trace the different stages of a relationship — from the excitement of falling in love and the pain of drifting apart to the challenges, growth, and hope that come with choosing each other every day.
Leading the release is “Makikita Kang Muli”, written by Jimmy and Cymbee Antiporda and produced by Angelo Zipagan. The song tells the story of finding one’s way back to a loved one and making a promise to continue fighting for the relationship no matter the distance or obstacles. The band recently held an EP launch last June 12, 2026 at GigMusic Hall, Cavite. Formed in 2024, the band combines modern indie and alternative rock influences with heartfelt acoustic-driven songwriting. “Tayo Sa Wakas” Records Php110M In Box Office Gross

Star Cinema’s 33rd anniversary offering, “Tayo Sa Wakas”, has recorded Php110M (110 million pesos) in box office sales as of June 19, 2026, making the romance drama film one of the highest-grossing Filipino movies this year. It has also become the biggest film of Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan, who previously starred in the movies “Love Is Color Blind” and “An Inconvenient Love”.
“Tayo Sa Wakas” is currently showing in cinemas nationwide and in theaters in Canada, Guam, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. The Cathy Garcia-Sampana movie will open in cinemas in Taiwan on July 10 and will soon have screenings in Macau. The film revolves around longtime couple Cisco (Donny) and Cheska (Belle) who were once partners in life and career and are now forced to confront how their respective ambitions have set them on competing paths.
