The vibrant celebration of the 79th Cityhood Anniversary of Lipa City last June 20, 2026 reached its most anticipated highlight as the Mister and Miss Lipa Tourism 2026 pageant lit up Plaza Independencia, drawing hundreds of spectators eager to witness the city's finest young ambassadors compete for the coveted titles. Ten exceptional candidates in both the male and female divisions graced the grand stage, showcasing not only their beauty and confidence but also their potential to become the next faces of Lipa tourism.
The journey toward these coveted crowns began with the official Preliminary Judging Competition held last June 14, 2026 at the Aquamarine Hotel Pavilion in Brgy. Banaybanay, gathering supporters, tourism advocates, and pageant enthusiasts for an evening that celebrated confidence, culture, and the vibrant identity of Lipa City, where candidates delivered memorable performances that highlighted both their physical fitness and cultural awareness. The competition opened with the candidates confidently taking the stage in their underwear presentation. The segment showcased the dedication and discipline of each contestant as they displayed the results of months of preparation and training. However, the evening's most anticipated highlight was the Cultural Presentation segment where creativity and local heritage came together in a stunning display of artistry. Candidates wore elaborate costumes inspired by the rich cultural, historical, and tourism treasures of Lipa City. From representations of the city's flourishing coffee industry and religious heritage to symbols of its thriving economy, natural attractions, and local traditions, each ensemble told a unique story about what makes Lipa a city worth celebrating. The cultural showcase demonstrated that the competition is more than just a search for beauty and physical excellence. It is also a platform for promoting local identity and strengthening pride in Lipa's heritage. Through their presentations, the candidates embodied the spirit of tourism advocacy and showcased their understanding of the city's history, culture, and aspirations. This was also defined by their respective presentation videos released on the pageant's official Facebook page days before the competition proper. The excitement immediately surged and intensified at the day of the competition as the candidates opened the night with a dazzling production number before heating up the atmosphere with the highly anticipated red and gold underwear competition where contestants confidently displayed their physique, poise, and stage presence. Leading the distinguished roster of guests present during pageant night were Lipa City Mayor Hon. Eric Africa, Lipa City Councilor and Council Committee Chairperson for Tourism Hon. Venice Manalo, Lipa City Tourism Council President Joel Peña, and Lipa City Tourism Office OIC Aylene Acorda, all of whom expressed their support for initiatives that promote tourism, culture, and youth empowerment in the city.
Adding prestige to the evening was an esteemed panel of judges headed by Ms. Charm Philippines 2026 Apriel Smith alongside Mister Supranational Philippines 2025 Kenneth Cabungcal, Miss Tourism Worldwide 2026 Anne de Mesa, and actor Ron Angeles among others. The evening's program is hosted by Michael Bristol and Andrea Aranas while Jaja Charotera is providing the voice-over commentary that is keeping the audience engaged and energized throughout the pageant. Sponsor awards were then handed out to select candidates and among them are Johan Miguel Piñon and Frances Isabel Macatangay as Big Ben Ambassador and Ambassadress 2026 and Kate Danielle Morales as Big Ben Reels Choice Awardee for capturing the spirit, beauty, and charm of Lipa through creativity and storytelling. Piñon, Tanya Endozo, Marlo Anthony Parco, and Johan Miguel Piñon emerged as standout recipients after garnering the majority of the special recognitions from the pageant's sponsors and partners. At the end of the night, it was Johan Miguel Piñon of Brgy. Sampaguita and Ma. Erica Valenzuela of Brgy. Tambo who were officially crowned as Mr. and Ms. Lipa Tourism 2026. They will carry the responsibility of promoting Lipa City's rich heritage, thriving tourism industry, and vibrant culture in various local and national engagements as the city's newest tourism ambassadors. They will also earn opportunities to represent Lipa City in prestigious national pageant competitions, bringing the city's pride and identity to a wider audience. More than a competition of beauty and charm, Mister and Miss Lipa Tourism continues to embody the city's commitment to nurturing young leaders who can inspire, represent, and champion the community as it is paving the way for future tourism ambassadors to emerge, ready to champion the beauty, culture, and continuing progress of Lipa City.
