The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) 2026 Asian Games Qualifier has officially confirmed the 12 teams that will advance to the main stage of the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Held at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore last June 18-21, 2026, the qualifier brought together teams from across Asia as they competed for a place at MLBB's debut at the Asian Games that will take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan on August 29-October 1, 2026. Securing their place are the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Hong Kong, and China.

Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will mark the first time MLBB is featured as an official medal title at the Asian Games, placing one of the world's leading mobile eSports titles on an International Olympic Committee (IOC)-recognized continental multi-sport stage. The milestone comes as MLBB marks its 10th anniversary, giving the title a defining moment in its journey from a mobile game into a global eSports ecosystem. What began as a mobile-first competitive title has grown into a platform with professional leagues, international tournaments, regional team pathways, and a global community of players and fans. For the athletes competing at Aichi-Nagoya, this stage changes the meaning of competition. They are no longer playing only for clubs, trophies, or personal records. They are representing their regions and competing for recognition on one of Asia's most prestigious sporting platforms. Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will be where established MLBB powerhouses defend their legacy, and rising regions attempt to rewrite it. For decorated MLBB nations, the Asian Games is a chance to go #BeyondLegacy by turning years of club success, international titles, and regional dominance into achievement on one of Asia's most prestigious sporting stages.

The Philippines remains one of the clearest benchmarks with a deep talent pool, proven international pedigree, and a history of delivering under pressure. However, the qualifier also showed that the field is evolving. Rising regions such as Cambodia displayed similar dominance in their route to qualification, signalling that the race for Asian Games glory may not follow the old power rankings. For these teams, Aichi-Nagoya 2026 is a chance to move from challenger to medal contender, and to prove that MLBB's competitive excellence now extends well beyond the traditional favourites. Together, the 12 qualified teams will carry the next chapter of MLBB eSports onto the Asian Games stage where national pride, elite competition, and the title's 10-year journey meet.

Globe And Disney Treat Student Leaders To Toy Story 5 Simultaneous Nationwide Screenings

Student leaders from all over the Philippines gathered last June 20, 2026 as Globe Telecom and Disney staged simultaneous screenings of Toy Story 5 in Clark, Bonifacio Global City, Dasmariñas, and Cebu City. The special treat brought together young changemakers, campus org leaders, and fans for a shared experience on connection, collaboration, and community. The exclusive block screenings, attended by students invited through their schools and organizations, turned cinemas into hubs of engagement where participants exchanged ideas, expanded their networks, and connected with peers from different campuses. The multi-city activation highlighted the value of community at a time when students are navigating increasingly complex academic, social, and economic realities.

The event builds on Globe and Disney’s longstanding partnership, which uses storytelling to spotlight courage, resilience, and progress. Through stories of characters who face challenges with determination and purpose, the collaboration encourages students to define success on their own terms and take meaningful action towards their goals. Students enjoyed raffle activities featuring exclusive merchandise and learned how to maximize Globe Rewards through student-focused offers available on the GlobeOne app. These included perks such as beep™ card load, food and beverage rewards, coffee credits, and free Timezone load, helping students make the most of their everyday experiences. Beyond the screenings, Globe showcased the Globe Student Program which gives student organizations the opportunity to pitch initiatives that address real needs within their campuses and communities. Through the program, students can turn ideas into projects and gain access to opportunities that help scale their impact.

The Globe Student Program reflects Globe’s commitment to creating platforms where student leaders can collaborate, innovate, and drive meaningful change. By connecting students with opportunities, resources, and like-minded peers, Globe continues to strengthen its role as a partner in the youth’s pursuit of growth and impact. “The most powerful ideas often start within communities. Through the Globe Student Program, we want to give student leaders opportunities to collaborate, pursue initiatives they care about, and create impact that extends beyond their campuses,” said Globe Chief Consumer Marketing Officer Roche Vandenberghe. Through experiences that bring together storytelling, technology, and community, Globe continues to create opportunities for students to connect with one another, explore new possibilities, and translate ideas into action.
