North America
Across various events in North America, GMA Pinoy TV celebrated with Global Pinoy communities. GMA Pinoy TV also provided support in A Night Of Music And Giving: Charity Concert with David Pomeranz in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Celebrating music and the enduring bayanihan spirit, the concert was organized by the Filipino American Cancer Care and raised funds for the benefit of cancer patients and their families. Across the Pacific Ocean, it also joined the Kauai Filipino Community Council in celebrating the world-class beauty of Filipinas and their heartfelt, meaningful advocacies at the 6th Annual Ms. Kaua'i Filipina Scholarship Pageant. In Albany, New York, GMA Pinoy TV continued to celebrate the beauty of Filipinas at the Ginang Filipinas International Tri-State, by MGI Entertainment, with contestants from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Also in New York, GMA Pinoy TV joined families in celebration of Filipino heritage and culture and the contributions of Filipino-Americans at the Filipino Day Grand Parade 2026 organized by Kalayaan 1521 Council Inc. Europe
Philippine Independence Day celebrations were also held in Europe, and GMA Pinoy TV proudly participated in encouraging Filipinos to engage, interact, and take pride in their rich history, heritage, and traditions. This year's lineup included the Kalayaan Festival in Madrid, Spain. Organized by the Empowered Filipinos in Spain, it is one of the largest Filipino cultural events in the country. Global Pinoys in Kôln, Germany, on the other hand, enjoyed a celebration showcasing ube-inspired treats, Filipino street food, and exciting activities at the 5th Ube Fiesta from Philnity e.V.
Asia-Pacific
Countries closer to home went all out in commemorating Philippine Independence with GMA Pinoy TV also engaging with Global Pinoys in Japan and Australia. Pistang Pilipino Kansai 2026, organized by One Network Co. Ltd. with the Bayanihan Overseas Kobe Organization, gave Global Pinoys in Kobe, Japan a triple celebration: the 128th anniversary of Philippine Independence, Migrant Workers Day, and 70 Years of Filipino-Japanese Friendship. A fun walk, a Santacruzan, and a special performance by the iconic OPM band Aegis made the two-day event a spectacle to remember. The festivities continued at the Pistang Pilipino Yokohama 2026 in Yokohama, also by One Network Co. Ltd., where Global Pinoys delighted in various Filipino games, music, and performances that perfectly captured the vibrancy of Philippine culture. Down under, GMA Pinoy TV joined Global Pinoys in various Independence Day events. In Queensland, Australia, visitors enjoyed the Gold Coast Philippine Festival 2026 — Mindanao: The Land of Promise, led by the Fil-Aus Gold Coast. The event also commemorated 80 years of diplomatic relations between Australia and the Philippines. Still in Queensland, Global Pinoys capped off this year's Philippine Independence festivities through an event where Filipino pride shined, history came alive, and deeper ties were forged among cultures: the Philippine Independence Day Celebration Gala 2026. The grand celebration was a fitting end and enduring tribute to the strength and resilience of Filipinos.
Through cultural events and community initiatives that marked the 128th anniversary of Philippine Independence, GMA Pinoy TV stood proudly alongside Global Pinoys in celebrating the nation's heritage and history.
