As part of its continuing commitment to promote mental health and holistic well-being among its Lasallian Partners, De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) continues to strengthen its partnership with the Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA)–Batangas Chapter. The partnership reflects DLSL’s commitment to creating a workplace culture where mental health is recognized as an essential component of employee well-being, personal development, and a healthy and supportive work environment.
Through this collaboration, DLSL and PMHA work together to bring mental health awareness, professional support, and accessible wellness services closer to Lasallian Partners. The partnership provides opportunities for employees to gain a better understanding of mental health, develop greater awareness of their emotional and psychological needs, and access appropriate professional assistance when needed. The collaboration became more visible during the Human Resource Development Office’s (HRDO) first HR Caravan, held as part of DLSL’s Mental Health Week 2026 celebration. PMHA–Batangas Chapter joined the Caravan as one of the school’s partner organizations, reinforcing its support for DLSL’s efforts to promote mental health and strengthen a culture of care within the Lasallian community. PMHA–Batangas Chapter Executive Manager Hazel Magpantay, together with her team, participated in the HR Caravan, providing an opportunity for Lasallian Partners to become more familiar with PMHA’s services and the professional support available to them. Their presence highlighted the value of the DLSL–PMHA partnership in making mental health resources more accessible and in encouraging Lasallian Partners to view seeking help as a positive and responsible step toward well-being. A key component of the partnership is the provision of psychological consultation services to Lasallian Partners. Through this service, Lasallian Partners may access professional support in a voluntary, confidential, and supportive setting. This initiative reinforces the importance of early help-seeking and encourages Lasallian Partners to seek appropriate assistance when they experience personal, emotional, or psychological concerns.
Beyond individual consultation, the DLSL–PMHA partnership contributes to a broader and more proactive approach to employee well-being. It supports DLSL’s Wellness, Welfare, and Wellbeing framework, which recognizes that caring for Lasallian Partners goes beyond physical health. A holistic approach to well-being encompasses emotional and psychological health, positive relationships, a supportive workplace, and opportunities for employees to pause, reflect, recharge, and seek professional assistance when necessary. More importantly, the partnership helps strengthen mental health literacy and reduce the stigma associated with seeking support. By creating opportunities for open conversations and access to professional resources, DLSL and PMHA help foster an environment where Lasallian Partners can feel safe to acknowledge their mental health needs and seek assistance without fear of judgment. The HR Caravan served as a meaningful avenue for bringing this commitment closer to the Lasallian community. PMHA’s participation went beyond providing information; it reinforced the message that mental health support is available, professional help is accessible, and asking for help is an important part of caring for oneself. As DLSL continues to build a culture of care, compassion, and support, partnerships such as this become an important part of sustaining a workplace where Lasallian Partners feel seen, heard, supported, and valued. The DLSL–PMHA partnership demonstrates how collaboration with mental health professionals can complement institutional programs and contribute to a healthier, more caring, and more resilient Lasallian community.
With PMHA–Batangas Chapter as a valued partner, DLSL continues to affirm a simple but meaningful commitment: Caring for the mind is caring for the whole person.
