Two programs from ABS-CBN Corporation's finest youth-oriented channels Knowledge Channel and YeY were honored for upholding and promoting quality and value-oriented content for Filipino children and their families at the conclusion of the first Sinebata children's video festival which is a prelude to the 1st Southeast Asia Prix Jeunesse which will be held in Manila a few weeks from now.

Knowledge Channel's "Salam: Bagong Kaibigan" and YeY's flagship child-oriented show Team YeY are chosen as two of the Philippines' top ten entries for the first staging of the regional children's film fest. "Salam: Bagong Kaibigan", which won the Fiction category for programs targeting ages 13-17 years old, incorporates essential peace concepts and pertinent social issues with lessons from World History. It uses everyday situations in a teenager's life and shows how the youth play an important role in creating a peaceful and prosperous society.

On the other hand, Team YeY was hailed as the winner of the Non-Fiction category for programs designed to cater children ages 3-7 years old. Topbilled by five of ABS-CBN's finest young talents, Team YeY showcases creative and informative activities for young viewers to enjoy such as dancing, storytelling, music, sports and even cooking. Both Knowledge Channel and YeY are available as exclusive channels of ABS-CBN TV Plus, the country's premier digital terrestrial television service, as well as on Skycable, Destiny Cable and Skydirect nationwide.

A project of Anak TV Foundation, Sinebata 2017 is a nationwide search for the best content produced for children incorporating its official theme "Pride In Self, Family and Traditions". Meanwhile, the 1st Southeast Asia Prix Jeunesse is inspired by the Prix Jeunesse Foundation's Prix Jeunesse International which honors high-quality and engaging children's and youth-oriented programs from around the world. The Anak TV Foundation, in partnership with the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), will be convening the said festival which will be held at the Manila Peninsula Hotel on November 27-29, 2017.
