Star Cinema's latest romantic comedy film "My Ex And Whys" starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano has been a phenomenal blockbuster hit in Philippine cinemas earning about Php200 million in just a week since its first showing on February 15 and becoming a consistent trending topic on social media. But, how did the movie fare outside the Philippines?

Well, it seems that My Ex And Whys prove something in its sleuth of simultaneous international screenings held last week in many countries around the world. It has illustrated solid signs of a highly welcoming global landscape for Filipino mainstream films and encouraging many possibilities of simultaneous worldwide releases.

TFC@TheMovies released acclaimed film director Cathy Garcia Molina's latest work internationally around the same time as it was shown in local theaters, and it has earned about one million dollars from screenings in the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific and North America on its first week. It it slated to be screened in Hong Kong on March 5, 2017. This puts the movie on its way to equal or surpass the performance of Barcelona: A Love Untold (US$1.6 million), Everything About Her (US$1.5 million) and The Unmarried Wife (US$1.2 million) as one of the highest-grossing Filipino films released by TFC@TheMovies and it has already extended its commercial run in USA and Canada.
