Globe Studios, the film and television production arm of Philippine telecommunications company Globe Telecom, is set to redefine the landscape of local entertainment with the launch of a one-of-a-kind online reality series entitled Disney Princess: I Dare to Dream.
Produced in collaboration with Disney and Maker Studios and inspired by the incredible stories and qualities of Disney's iconic princesses, the 12-episode series brings Filipino viewers to the magical journey of six young Filipino girls as they pursue their own dreams with the help of various mentor headed by Disney legend Lea Salonga along with theater actress Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, social educator Efren Penaflorida, veterinarian Dr. Nielsen Donato, animator Tito Romero, Chef Jessie Sincioco and Youtube personality Charisma Star.
Started last February 25, the online show puts emphasis on the stories on these six girls who were selected from a series of auditions held in different parts of the country last year in parallel with the stories of the Disney Princesses. The journey towards self-confidence and discovery will culminate with a live concert extravaganza with Lea Salonga and a sleuth of Filipino music talent featuring songs from Disney Princess movies to be held on March 22, 2017 at the SM Mall of Asia.
Follow the journey of aspiring broadway actress Hya Leonardo, aspiring chef Sirach Catipay, aspiring veterinarian Liana San Diego, aspiring politician Jaden Narvios, aspiring newscaster Stephanie Jordan, and aspiring animator Alexi Tan on Globe Telecom's official Youtube channel and on www.idaretodream.ph. It will also be aired on Disney Channel and its official mobile app starting May 2017.
