In 2016, the official media website of the leading media and entertainment company in the Philippines (www.abs-cbn.com) breached 3 billion page views and garnered an average of 40 million monthly users according to web traffic data and analytics company Alexa making it the biggest local website in the country and fourth in the world next to global giants Facebook, Google and Youtube.
ABS-CBN continues to strengthen its presence in the online world through its social media accounts. Its official Facebook account and of ABS-CBN News has commanded the biggest following on Facebook compared to its competitors in the Philippine television industry. Meanwhile, its dominance in the online world has also reached video streaming service Youtube where four of its channels including ABS-CBN News, Star Music and Star Cinema rank in the top ten Filipino channels. ABS-CBN Entertainment remains the number one Youtube channel in the country with about 6 billion views and counting surpassing those of global news outlets like CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera.
This just proves that ABS-CBN is not just the true number one television station in the Philippines today, but also leading the way in making the transition to an agile digital company with the biggest online presence among all existing media companies and a growing list of digital properties as well.
