Meet Clutch Gamers, an e-sports team based in Malaysia but is relatively a new player in the local e-sports scene. It has an all-Filipino team that has been doing well in Southeast Asian tournaments, including winning two of the Pro-DOTA Cup SEA tournaments. Recently, the all-Filipino Malaysian-based team secured the last slot in the Manila Masters 2017 after beating local e-sports powerhouse TNC Pro Team in the Pinoy Tour's Grand Finals thanks to the team's signature position 1 Bristleback and Armel's Invoker that stole the spotlight in Game 4 of the said event.
Now, Clutch Gamers is set to defend Philippine pride as it competes with the likes of Evil Geniuses, Optic Gaming, Newbee, Team Secret, Team NP, Invictus Gaming and Faceless in a tournament that is slated to change the competitive DOTA 2 landscape. We don't know if this world-class team would be able to fare well against the best in the e-sports world, but we'll have to find out for ourselves if they can truly make our country proud.
