Many cities and municipalities in the Philippines have their own piece
of moments to shine in their own right, and it is without question that the
city of Bacoor in the province of Cavite may definitely be no exception. Who
would have thought that an underrated city would be known for something that is
something uncommon to many Filipino millennials today?
Well, if you read the sports section of a reputable and well-known
Filipino tabloid, then you would be surprised upon learning that the city
government of Bacoor is making necessary preparations before gracing the city
with some of the finest marching bands from around the world. And for those who
want to make this simple, then you will now learn that the city of Bacoor is
tapped to host the International Marching Band Competition which will be held
next year. Apparently, you should wonder why the youngest city in one of the
provinces that has a share in Philippine history become a beacon for marching bands.
At first, I only knew the city of Bacoor for having one of the oldest
SM Supermalls in the Philippines way before its cityhood. Little did we know,
the city is known for its enormous number of marching bands but the lack of
equipment and government support were hindrances to the city's growth. This is
where Strike Revilla comes in and make the city great beyond what you think.
