Globe Telecom kicked off its delivery of world-class theatrical
productions that could cater and delight audiences with the rare presentation
of Disney's hit musical "Newsies" which is based on a true story set
in the 1950s. Although it is scheduled to run on all weekends of July at the
Globe Iconic Store, it is good to know that this is just the beginning for
Globe's sleuth of upcoming productions and sponsored events where anyone can
enjoy all throughout every occasion.
After Newsies, expect more impressive and entertaining performances
with theatrical productions of "Westside Story" coming on August
10-27, 2017 and the much-awaited West Run production of "The Sound of
Music" which is slated to be held on September 27-October 15, 2017, both
at The Theater at Solaire in Paranaque City. Meanwhile, capping off the year is
the theatrical run of "A Christmas Carol" to be shown on December.
On the other hand, Globe is inviting music lovers to enjoy the highly-anticipated
performances of world-class artists The Chainsmokers and Harry Styles as they
take over Manila by September 2017 and March of next year, respectively. The
purveyor of the Filipino digital lifestyle is also a staunch supporter of the
upcoming Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, a one-week event dedicated to showcasing
and patronizing Philippine cinema in observance of National Language Month.
Being supportive of the local movie industry, the Globe Independent
Film Festival was made and formed driving aspiring and veteran local indie
filmmakers to innovate beyond their imagination. Finally, Globe collaborated
with Reality Entertainment and acclaimed film director Erik Matti for the On
The Job (OTJ) spinoff which is yet to become available on HOOQ.
