More Filipino internet users are starting to enjoy binge-watching their
favorite foreign TV shows and blockbuster movies on the likes of Netflix, while
there are those who continue to seek for viral videos on highly-popular sites such
as YouTube and Dailymotion. But, many mobile users are worried about how much
data will they spend on video streaming and binge-watching. Luckily, the answer
to that kind of situation is all in the settings.
Netflix subscribers are able to consume heavier data on watching their
own choices of entertainment considering that they need a stable home broadband
connection to make the experience possible, but it could possibly become a
burden for smartphone users. All they need to do is to select the preferred
quality of the content they want to watch and that would be in the lowest
quality knowing that it is right for any mobile device.
The same would go to YouTube as well. Mobile subscribers need to enable
Limit Mobile Usage on the mobile
app's settings. Unfortunately, it does not apply to those who are used to connect
to the World Wide Web at WiFi zones. These settings may be useful to binge
lovers and viral seekers, but it all depends on how long you watch the video on
YT or hangout on Netflix if they want to save data.
As I have mentioned, what needs to be done to save mobile data and
enjoy their favorite entertainment choices is all in the settings which gives
even others the convenience and the flexibility to make their own hangouts more
binge-worthy whether at home on your PC or on-the-go via mobile. At least it makes
much sense that video streaming using a mobile data plan or on a WiFi zone is
not as easy as anyone thinks. If you have already planned a budget set for your
hard-earned cash, then it is possible that applying for a home broadband plan
could be on your quick want list.
