After
weeks of hype, anticipation and doubt courtesy of billboards sprawling around
SM Megamall and sample selfie shots from local celebrities, OPPO Philippines
has officially launched its newest flagship selfie-centric smartphone, the OPPO
F5, to the delight of selfie-loving techies and digital photo enthusiasts who
have been always updated on social media.
The
F5 didn't disappoint tech-savvy consumers upon its launch, and there are a few
but highly impressive reasons why it takes selfies, groufies and even wefies to
a whole different level. First of all for starters, OPPO joins the bandwagon of
smartphones sporting a full view display where the Vivo V7+ set the standard
and the OPPO F5 has its own bankable asset being the first to incorporate such
display in full HD.
And
since the camera has been a main selling point for most flagship smartphones
available in the Philippines, it looks like we will accept the F5 as no
exception but what makes its camera system more intriguing is that it makes use
of artificial intelligence which can enhance any selfie photo taken using the
front camera. Not only that, the front camera can also create a bokeh effect on
selfies with blurred backgrounds that can totally stand out on social media.
Anyway,
here is the complete spec sheet for the OPPO F5.

OPPO
has been keen in keeping details about the F5 top secret to even the most
curious since it was first introduced at the recent Star Magic Ball, and this kind
of marketing strategy is one of the major reasons why OPPO is a force to be
reckoned with in the Philippine market so I'll give it a thumbs up. Those who are
interested in the OPPO F5 may still have time to pre-order until November 3,
2017 if they want to bundle it with a free Bluetooth speaker that is worth
Php2,990.
