The search for the best collegiate basketball team in the Philippines is on the horizon once more as the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) makes its return and is set to begin on November.

It has been almost two years since the previous edition where it was criticized for having dual champions at the end of the season. It was eventually lack of financial support that pushed the league back. With the support of many collegiate basketball leagues from different parts of the country, it is assured that this year's National Collegiate Championship will not have the same mistakes as its previous iteration.

Aside from the top two teams from UAAP and NCAA, there will be one team from NCR, Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon and Mindanao which will make up the league's Top 8 where they are slated to compete in the National Finals which will happen next year. But, to our surprise, there is more.

The PCCL will stage a national 3x3 tournament which will be participated by ten schools from NCR, Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. What makes the tournament bizaare is its rules, but what matters is that interested players must have aged up to 25 years ago, currently studying in any of the competing schools and should be a Filipino citizen.

Anything can be possible when the new season of PCCL begins. Heck, what can you expect from the league's director Joe Lipa who is also behind the upcoming Countrywide Basketball League which is yet to make its debut. Anyway, follow the league's official Facebook page here for more updates prior to the start of the new edition.
