Millions
of tourists have enjoyed their visit to the Philippines and explored many of
its natural wonders. The only problem regarding the country's continuing
tourism campaign is that it only focuses on foreign tourists and not the locals
who wish to explore other places in our local shores that are yet to be seen
and indulged. This is where yapak.ph steps
in.
Yapak.ph, a one-stop portal on everything
in the Philippines, is building on its own commitment and mission to invite
domestic travelers to check out the new places in the country. Aside from the Philippine
tourism campaign's problem on not focusing on locals, Yapak.ph founder and
chief executive officer Diane Zoleta learned that many establishments are only
slated most for foreign travelers with only a rare number of local tourists
being given utmost importance.
The
website was already operational back in 2015 but is now keen on being the
premiere local tourism aggregator in the Philippines. The site has six
different sections, namely: The Philippines, Where to Go, Things to Do, What's
to Come, Facts and Trivias and Stories to Tell. It also pointed out sixteen
different kinds of tourism in our local shores - medical tourism, health
establishments, extreme adventures, museum, sports, nightlife, Filipino
heritage, social entrepreneurship, knowledge exchange, beaches, pocket parks,
nature, food finds, new spots around the block, and history, culture and the
arts.
