Shopping in malls, supermarkets and department stores continue to become a norm during the long holiday season in the Philippines, but more tech-savvy consumers are also beginning to embrace their own ways of making holiday shopping more enjoyable and convenient according to data generated from various platforms of Voyager Innovations Inc., more particularly Paymaya and Takatack.

Many Filipino millennials are using their smartphones and mobile devices to browse on the hottest buys on online shopping sites and eventually purchase them via their mobile wallets. Paymaya has been no doubt the best choice for them to perform cashless transactions in their own way and complete their own shopping list without any worries considering that most of its users are from the millennial market and they enjoy up to 20% discounts on their purchases given to them by Lazada during their giant online sales.

On the other hand, Takatack's own report reveals that most Filipinos are getting interested in the latest deals on electronic products. Of course, eight of the top ten products in Voyager's online shopping and e-commerce platform are in the said category. Among the most purchased products within that category include powerbanks, Bluetooth speakers and even smart watches. Such an overwhelming reception from the millennial market is a testament to the strong purchasing power recorded throughout the holidays without any doubts.

Now that the Christmas season in the Philippines is coming to an end and onto a new chapter in 2018, online shopping will continue to grow but it should not be denied that it would complement the ordinary lives of modern Filipinos with new shopping centers on the rise. In the end, it will all depend on the consumer's way of having a worry-free shopping experience in making one's life fruitful in today's modern world.
