ONE Championship, the premiere mixed martial arts (MMA) organization and largest sports property in Asia, has officially joined the fight against extreme poverty with its recent partnership with international non-government organization Global Citizen and it was officially announced ahead of its recently concluded Global Superheroes event held in Manila.

Global Citizen is a humanitarian organization that aims to end extreme poverty by the year 2030. Its commitment is beginning to gain traction through its number of reliable and trustworthy partners as well as various advocacy projects across different parts of the world. For co-founder Sung Woo, it is an honor for Global Citizen to work with ONE Championship as its mission continues to reach throughout Asia.

Through the partnership, both ONE and Global Citizen will collaborate on all of the former's live events scheduled throughout the year as well as conduct advocacy projects in various parts of the continent. On the other hand, fans are encouraged to interact and engage on various issues such as education, food security, health and nutrition, etc.

ONE Championship believes that martial arts can help people fight poverty with the values it teaches to its students such as integrity, courage and discipline among others. Many of the finest in martial arts have persevered on their own from long hours of training and are willing to share what they have learned to others. Its journey against poverty may be the beginning, but the partnership that ONE and Global Citizen can bring will benefit those who want to persevere and gain success in their own way.
