Globe Telecom, the leading telecommunications brand in the Philippines
and the premiere purveyor of Filipino digital lifestyle, has officially forged
a unique partnership deal with Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation which allows
the telco to install cell sites and roll out its GoWifi service across the
ladder's numerous gas station.

Although it is part of its ongoing efforts to improve its services for
the benefit of millions of Filipino mobile and internet users, the unique deal with
Shell would eventually become Globe's answer to the challenges that is
happening in the Philippine telco scene such as consumers' clamor for a third
telco and the upcoming implementation of a common tower policy.
Shell has initially identified 14 gas stations situated in different
parts of the country which can be served as avenues where motorists and
commuters can enjoy their own internet experience on-the-go. It is a bit
intriguing to learn that part of the duopoly would make a pact with one of the
leading names in a very enduring industry in an effort to improve its network
and serve millions of tech-savvy consumers.
