Following TNC's overwhelming 5th-6th place finish in Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds held in our local shores, Filipino pro gamers continue to stand tall and prove that they are at par with gamers from different parts of Asia when it comes to the international scene. In fact, some have already made the country and the local gaming community proud in regional gaming tournaments held throughout the month of January.

Quid Pro Quo proudly represented the Philippines in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2018 held in Jakarta, Indonesia and they were among the toughest teams to be reckoned with throughout the competition. Despite not making it to the finals, they managed to secure a 3rd place finish in Asia Pacific's biggest DOTA 2 tournament presented by Acer taking home US$15,000 from the US$150,000 prize pool.

On the other hand, the conclusion of the NBA 2K18 Asia Tournament held during the Taiwan Game Show was an all-Filipino affair with Karlo Rosales (KE Rosales) and Philippe Herrero (PBE Philippe) making it to the finals that has impressed spectators. In the end, it was a sweet revenge for PBE Philippe as he not only hailed as the champion of the tournament taking home the grand prize of US$6,000, but also avenged his loss to Rosales in the Philippine Finals. Meanwhile, Rosales congratulated Philippe and was contented with the 1st runner-up finish and US$2,500 cash prize. This just came in from GG Network's official Twitter page, so browse it up!!

What you are reading right now is just the beginning as the Philippines' sleuth of e-sports athletes are setting to exceed beyond their own expectations in 2018 as well as to make their own mark in the international pro gaming scene.
