From her journey in "Tawag ng Tanghalan" on the Philippines'
number one daytime show It's Showtime, Rachel Gabreza brought her singing
prowess to the international stage and eventually made her fellow Filipinos
proud as she was hailed champion in the Stars of the Albion Grand Prix 2018:
5th International Performing Arts and Competition held in London, United Kingdom
last February 19, 2018.
The TNT finalist and member of the prestigious Organization of Filipino Singers (OPM) bested 30 participants from different parts of the globe including USA, Russia, Great Britain, India, Greece, Cyprus, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Georgia, Malta, Ghana, Estonia, Armenia and Latvia in the professional category of the said competition.
In the first level of the Grand Prix, Rachel performed her rendition of
Go The Distance which was her winning piece as a daily winner back in 2016. She
would sing I Am Changing by Jennifer Hudson in its second level where her
performance remains the highest-rated among others in the competition since its
inception as part of ABS-CBN's daily noontime variety show It's Showtime in
2016.
A joint project of the UK-based Musica Nova International Academy of
Music and World Association of Performing Arts, the Stars of the Albion is an
annual international performing arts competition that gathers the finest singers
and dancers from around the world. Gabreza's newest achievement follows KZ Tandingan's
foray as a regular contender in the popular Chinese reality singing competition
Singer 2018, which is an intriguing fresh start for Filipino singers sharing
their own talent and prowess to the global stage in 2018.
