ON THE RADAR, GAMING | March 20, 2018

Nintendo Switch

Summer is just around the corner, and more Filipino gamers are starting to gain interest on Nintendo's hybrid gaming system, the Switch. Some who have already made up their minds on purchasing the Switch are having second thoughts on which games are they going to enjoy within the comforts of their own own home and on-the-go under the scorching heat. Well, it seems that there are some games that would surely delight Switch owners and the best thing about them is that they are due to be out throughout the season.

With that in mind, let Ronie The Trubist share with you a few games that would truly make your summer gaming experience enjoyable when you are using the Nintendo Switch. Oh, and don't push me to add Megaman Legacy Collection on the list because I've already made an article about it a few weeks ago if you search for it in the archives. Anyway, here are upcoming Nintendo Switch games that would truly make any Filipino gaming trubist's summer spectacular.

1. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Originally released on the Wii U, the newest installment of the platformed franchise featuring one of Nintendo's well-loved characters is making its well-deserved debut on the Switch by the start of May. Aside from challenging obstacles and various good-looking levels along the way, the Switch version has an extra bonus element included in the mix - Funky Kong, to say the least.

 2. Dark Souls Remastered

Want to play Dark Souls on a Nintendo home console? Well, the remastered version of the first among Bandai Namco's Dark Souls trilogy can fulfill your desire as a Nintendo fan. At the same time, it will be quite a pleasure for any Dark Souls fan to relive playing the first game on the likes of the Nintendo Switch and more.

3. Mario Tennis Aces

It's been a long time since we've last heard of a new installment of Mario Tennis other than Mario Power Tennis for the GameCube. Now, one of the most interesting among Mario sports game franchises is making its long-awaited return with so much in store and most are not yet seen on a Nintendo system since the first Mario Tennis game in the mid-90s until now. Once it is all said and done upon its June release, it will all be game, set and match for Switch owners.

4. Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition

The turn-based action game from Koei with characters, enemies and environments from The Legend of Zelda is set to make a definitive statement once it makes its way towards the Nintendo Switch by May, and there are more things you should know about Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition. I recommend you to watch the teaser below to understand maybe some of them.

5. South Park: The Fractured But Whole

You may be surprised and should be thinking about why I included a South Park game on the list of spectacular games to be released on the Switch throughout the summer season, and you should be considering that you may enjoy one of the best role-playing games of 2017 more on the Switch than other systems before.
