National Language Month or "Buwan ng Wika" in Filipino is just a few months away, but it seems that Filipino hardcore gamers will have a new reason to celebrate the said occasion and it's all thanks to no less than Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia.

The gaming company that has brought Tekken and Dark Souls to gaming communities across Southeast Asia has officially announced that Divinity: Original Sin 2, the award-winning BAFTA-nominated role playing game from Larian Studios, is set to make its way on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems on August 2018 where console players can enjoy their own piece of adventure in one of the deepest RPG worlds ever made.

Following its incredible success last year as Metacritic's highest-scoring PC game, Divinity: Original Sin 2 will give PS4 and Xbox One owners the chance to have freedom on a sandbox RPG where rules are made to be bent than followed. Players will be immersed into the world of Rivellon where they can go anywhere, talk to anyone including the living dead, and fully interact with the game's environments and atmosphere like no other RPG before.

The game features six unique characters with their own full-pledged backstories, personalities and questlines. These include the haughty and heroic lizard noble Red Prince, the elven assassin Sebille, the possessed musician Lohse, an ex-soldier turned mercenary Ifan Ben-Mezd, the rebel-turned-pirate dwarf Beast, and the undead Fane from a long-forgotten Eternal race. Meanwhile, any console player who is playing Divinity: Original Sin 2 for the first time will enjoy a user interface tailor-made for them even in four-player online and two-player split-screen cooperative modes.

It is interesting to see that the success of Divinity: Original Sin 2 for the PC would not have been possible without the support of gaming communities around the world considering that it has raised more than US$2 million from more than 40,000 backers through a successful Kickstarter campaign which began in August 2016. Prior to the game's official launch and release, gamers can expect additional content updates and extra features in the weeks and months to come.

With that in mind, the PlayStation 4 version of Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be available physically and digitally while the Xbox One version is slated to be out online.
