Star Cinema, a subsidiary of ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc., has
officially released on social media a teaser for its upcoming romantic flick
The Hows Of Us starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. To my surprise,
the online world is flooded with positive reception from many Filipino netizens
after watching the trailer making the movie a top trending topic on social
media.
Those who have watched the trailer seem to relate its story to
themselves and their future, especially with their present or future loves. Well,
the reaction to the trailer makes sense since I've learned that it is the story
of a young couple who is envisioning a bright future ahead of them even in the
midst of bearing the struggles of a long-distance relationship. What makes the movie
interesting is that it is one of the last movies to be directed by
award-winning filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina before her impending retirement
next year. With that in mind, here's the official trailer of Star Cinema's The
Hows Of Us.
Aside from KathNiel's return to the big screens, another big star is
making a grand and marvelous return to the big screens and it is no less than
the Philippines' Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo. Her upcoming romantic comedy
flick Miss Granny would surely delight movie buffs of all generations,
especially those who are in their middle ages. One good thing about the movie
is that is the Philippine adaptation to a blockbuster South Korean movie and it
will be intriguing for us to see how Viva Films fare in local theaters with our
own pride and joy.
So, Miss Granny is about a grandmother who has mystically transformed
into a young woman after taking a picture of herself in a studio. Joining Geronimo
as her leading man in the movie is fellow Viva stalwart James Reid who plays as
the lead vocalist of an upstart rock band where Sarah's character is joining. Watching
the trailer will surely make them express their own accord about this
unprecedented chemistry, but I assume that they are considering watching the
movie to find out.
