Gushcloud International, a global creator, content, IP, and audience data management company, and CMC Shine SEA, the overseas arm of one of China’s leading entertainment groups and a key global content partner of TikTok, co-produced “Superstar Among Friends: Broadus Together,” a one-night TikTok LIVE Premiere with Death Row in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. last August 15, 2026. The event, produced together with Cordell Broadus and Death Row Games and hosted by Boss Lady Entertainment, is a marker of where Gushcloud is heading toward creating, producing, distributing, and commercializing entertainment, well beyond just marketing it.
“Broadus Together” is proof of that direction, showing Gushcloud’s capability to connect online creators, offline entertainment, live experiences, technology, and data. It positions Gushcloud as entering the space of brands, broadcasters, agencies, and entertainment companies, and gives them a reason to partner with the company. Held at Snoop Dogg’s Compound which is a private 20,000 square foot creative campus, the invitation-only event featured DJ Snoopadelic, the Death Row Family and artists including Ylona Garcia and Gushcloud talent Iman Fandi. Early into the night, DJ Snoopadelic hit the decks with a run of iconic tracks, including his own “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Following the performances of the other featured artists, Iman Fandi took the stage for her single “It Is”. “For me, this is all about ownership and bringing our culture to new spaces. ‘Broadus Together’ brought the Death Row family and a whole room of artists and creators to the Compound, and teaming up with Gushcloud helped us put that in front of a global audience. That’s the kind of thing I want to keep building,” said Death Row Games Co-Founder Cordell Broadus.
The market backdrop is significant. The creator economy was valued at US$250B (250 billion US dollars) in 2023 and is projected to reach US$480B (480 billion US dollars) by 2027 with about 70 percent of creator income coming from brand deals. Global influencer marketing spend reached about US$32.55B (32.55 billion US dollars) in 2025. “At Gushcloud, everything we build is about creating opportunities for creators and artists, and giving them a global platform. Putting our talent alongside legendary artists at ‘Broadus Together’, with partners like CMC Shine SEA and Death Row, is a deliberate step in that strategy. We intend to be the company that takes creators and culture from our region to the world,” said Gushcloud International Co-Founder and Group CEO Althea Lim.

East Asia Super League (EASL) welcomed the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as its newest Philippine partner and its reigning MPBL Champions, Abra Weavers, will compete in the 2026-2027 EASL season. As the first MPBL club to compete in EASL, the Abra Weavers will mark a brand new chapter in the league’s continued growth while strengthening EASL’s presence in one of Asia’s most passionate basketball markets.
The Weavers arrive in EASL having already proven themselves at home. After joining the MPBL in 2024, Abra quickly established itself as one of the league’s elite teams before capturing the championship in just its second season. The rapid rise in accolades have earned the club the opportunity to test itself against Asia’s top professional teams. “This is a proud moment for the MPBL. From the beginning, our vision has been to create opportunities for Filipino basketball to continue growing. The Abra Weavers have shown what is possible when a team represents its community with ambition, discipline and pride. They have the opportunity to represent our league and Philippine basketball against some of the best teams in Asia. We are excited to partner with EASL and look forward to this new chapter together,” said MPBL Founder, eight-division boxing world champion and former Philippine Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. Founded in 2017 by Pacquiao, the MPBL is a Philippine professional basketball league built around city and provincial teams competing in a home-and-away format across the Philippines which features 26 teams in its 2026-2027 season. “Having an MPBL team compete in EASL is an important milestone for us. Our goal has always been to provide our clubs and players the most competitive stage at the highest level. After being tested and proven at home, Abra are ready for the international stage, and we’re excited for fans across Asia to see what they can do,” said MPBL CEO Joe Reyes.
Abra joins several other clubs set to make their EASL debuts in 2026–2027 including reigning B.LEAGUE champions Nagasaki Velca, KBL finalists Goyang Sono Skygunners, Macau SAR Champion Macau Hou Chon and TSG GhostHawks of the P. LEAGUE+. “We are delighted to welcome both MPBL and the Abra Weavers to the EASL family. Abra has quickly established itself as one of the Philippines’ strongest clubs, and we’re excited to see them compete against Asia’s best. Bringing the MPBL into EASL further strengthens our presence in one of the world’s great basketball nations and represents another significant step forward as we look forward to our biggest and most competitive campaign yet,” said EASL CEO Henry Kerins.

Klook Launches Global Search For The World’s Most Underappreciated Travelers: The Travel Planners
![]() |

Following research revealing travel planners as the least-thanked people in every group chat, Klook is inviting the world to nominate (or self-nominate) the planner who deserves a trip they do not have to plan. Every Free Independent Traveler (FIT) group has a planner who builds the spreadsheet and coordinates schedules. They are rarely commended for a seamless itinerary yet are often blamed when problems arise.
Klook’s survey of 2,725 travelers across 10 markets confirms that travel planning ranks among the least-thanked tasks people do for others, behind everyday favors like carrying bags or holding doors. More than 8 in 10 planners say they spend over 10 hours organizing a single group trip, and still, they are seldom recognized for their efforts. Even when someone else takes over the planning, 42.4% of travel planners admit that they are always checking and second-guessing, quietly and anxiously watching from the sidelines and ready to step in if needed. “Klook was created to simplify the task of travel planning so travelers can focus on the experiences their destinations have to offer. We are excited to exemplify that promise through a fully-planned vacation awarded to five travel planners who always arrange perfect itineraries for their friends and family. Group planners carry the weight of every trip on their shoulders. It’s finally their turn to take a vacation from planning,” said Klook Philippines General Manager Michelle Ho. From now until August 31, 2026, Klook is looking for five travel planners who are tired of organizing itineraries for a 7-day hosted trip to Switzerland in December 2026 where their only job will be to show up.
To nominate a travel planner, tell Klook about a time they were the glue that held the trip together. Share how they organized the itinerary and even what went hilariously wrong, as these stories will help Klook understand why they deserve a vacation from planning vacations. As a bonus, applicants can upload a 60-second video or share a link – from TikTok, YouTube, or a Google Drive – showing the travel planner in action. It could feature their legendary spreadsheets, chaotic group chat screenshots, or the moment they somehow saved the trip while everyone else just enjoyed the ride.

Jockey Club Believe & Bounce Basketball Programme: HKFYG Hustle 5 x EASL Future Champions International All-Star Tournament Showcases Asia's Rising Stars In Elite Competition

Jockey Club Believe & Bounce Basketball Programme: Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) Hustle 5 x EASL Future Champions International All-Star Tournament, held last July 24–26, 2026 at the Kai Tak Arena – Sports Hall, was an unforgettable showcase of elite youth basketball, international competition and community celebration. The landmark event brought together some of the region’s most promising young players from Cebu City, Macau and Hong Kong, giving them the opportunity to represent their markets, sharpen their skills against top competition, and gain recognition on EASL’s international stage while competing for the first-ever EASL Future Champions Elite Championship.
Cebu City and Macau were each represented by 10 All-Stars selected following eight weeks of intensive EASL Future Champions Elite training and competition. They were joined by the champion and runner-up teams from the EASL Future Champions Hong Kong Elite Circuit Games, forming a four-team field featuring leading young talent from across the three markets. “This tournament marks a brand-new endeavor, and HKFYG will continue to launch more high-quality sports events to impact more youth in the wider community. I hope that young players will maintain a positive and determined mindset on and off the court, achieve personal growth, and carry their fiery spirit of challenging themselves to the global stage, shining brightly in international arenas,” said HKFYG Deputy Executive Director Alice Lui. “This first EASL Future Champions Elite Championship showed the extraordinary talent and potential of young players across the region. Our goal is to give these players the coaching, competition and international exposure they need to take the next step in their basketball journeys. We are proud to create opportunities that can have a lasting impact on their lives both on and off the court,” said EASL Chief Executive Officer Henry Kerins. Beyond the competition, the event featured public booths, interactive activities and merchandise stands, giving fans additional ways to engage throughout the weekend. Players, families, coaches and supporters came together at Kai Tak Arena – Sports Hall to celebrate youth basketball and the next generation of talent from across the region.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club, through its Charities Trust, has committed funding to support a three-year Jockey Club Believe & Bounce Basketball Programme. The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Group’s “HKFYG Hustle 5” partners with the EASL Future Champions, which was launched in November 2025 by East Asia Super League, benefiting more than 32,000 people and over 660 coaches. The program operates through grassroots and elite development tracks, with the elite pathway providing advanced training, player selection, and international competition. The Hong Kong tournament marked the first international championship under the EASL Future Champions Elite program. The tournament represented a defining step forward for EASL Future Champions Elite. Through high-level coaching, sustained training, international competition and cultural exchange, the program is building a pathway for young players to leave their comfort zones, test themselves against the region’s best and take the next step in their basketball journeys. The experience will continue with an upcoming overseas exchange, where selected players from the EASL Future Champions program will travel abroad to train within the youth academy of a professional basketball team. Further details will be announced soon.
