The
Premier Volleyball League kicked off its second season with the Reinforced
Conference and it was one exciting and delightful affair that many Filipino
volleyball fans didn't disappoint. Those who have been keeping an eye on what
has been transpired throughout the conference were able to enjoy watching some
of their favorite volleybelles showcase their skills and prowess in the court
on their television sets every weekend. But it is more than just the fun,
action and excitement that the PVL offered in its first conference.
What
Filipino sports buffs love about the Reinforced Conference is that it brings
closer to them which is literally evidenced by the Grand Fans Day that took
place prior to the conference proper. ABS-CBN Sports, the league's official broadcast
partner, has heeded what volleyball fans want through the consistent airing of
live games on television every weekend and it has been a delightful indulgement
for even those who don't know about volleyball but are amazed by the beauty of
the players competing.
Throughout
the course of the conference, we have seen new teams that are out to make their
own impact in the courts, enjoyed every bit of hard-hitting action displayed by
these lovely volleybelles and even explored what we can expect from these teams
before every game. In the end, it was the Creamline Cool Smashers that took
home their first championship in the Premier Volleyball League and have proven
their worth in the local volleyball scene. Even though the conference is
already in the books, there is still time for us to catch up on what others have
been watching if we miss any one of the televised games and that would be good
stuff worth indulging.
