More entertaining choices await millions of Filipino households along
with their friends and loved ones as ABS-CBN TV Plus, the premiere digital
terrestrial television service in the Philippines, officially launched five new
channels that would surely cater to the viewing habits of its more than 5
million users. Headlining the awesome lineup of new and exciting channels
available on ABS-CBN TV Plus are two exclusive channels - Asianovela Channel
and Movie Central.
Asianovela Channel brings the best and the finest Asian dramas and
movies to young and old viewers - all uncut and dubbed in Filipino. Filipino
Asian drama lovers should enjoy watching the likes of Goblin, Legend of the
Blue Sea, Weightlifting Fairy, Boys Over Flowers and exclusive dramas such as
Uncontrollably Fond and Oh My Lady. The 2018 Chinese remake of Meteor Garden
will be shown soon on Asianovela Channel following its premiere airing on ABS-CBN
starting August 20th. Meanwhile, Movie Central showcases the biggest and most enjoyable
Hollywood blockbuster films shown on the small screens in their original languages
which should delight local movie buffs.
Included in the lineup of TV Plus' new channels are Jeepney TV, MYX and
O Shopping which are slated to add more flavor to the viewing experience of
Filipino households who have made the shift to a new way of watching television.
Throwback junkies can reminisce their favorite teleserye moments without the need for a pay TV subscription with
Jeepney TV's delivery of some of the popular and well-loved ABS-CBN shows from
the past. Heck, they can even watch It's Showtime, ASAP and Magandang Buhay
after a hard day's work. On the other hand, music lovers will have the chance
to enjoy watching and listening to the latest from their favorite artists on MYX,
the Philippines' number one music channel.
These channels are available on free trial for current and new ABS-CBN
TV Plus users in Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Metro Cebu and Cagayan de
Oro until December 31, 2018. All they need to do is to perform a channel scan
on their digibox and see if these new channels are presently active and viewable.
Those who have owned or purchased an ABS-CBN TV Plus digibox in areas not
covered by the free trial should not worry as the new channels will become
available once the digibox expands its reach. The addition of these new channels
are part of the Philippines' preparation for the full implementation of digital
terrestrial television and permanent shutdown of analog broadcasts which will
take place in 2023.
