The Philippines joins gaming communities around the world in
celebrating the 40th anniversary of one of the finest Japanese-based video game
companies in the world, and young and old Filipino gamers can now get their
hands on what is arguably the most advanced 16-bit video game system in history
as the NeoGeo Mini has arrived in our local shores and is available in online
and physical stores across the country including Game One PH.
In case you don't know, SNK's NeoGeo is one of the most popular names
in the gaming world during its time with its own bevy of enjoyable and exciting
original games that offer fantastic gameplay and outstanding arcade quality
that is incomparable to the 16-bit generation of home gaming systems. Though it
was overwhelmingly popular in the arcades but not so much around the global
home electronics market, NeoGeo has left its own mark written in the pages of
gaming history books. This is where the NeoGeo Mini comes in and brings you
back to a prominently intriguing era in video games that was a surprising
delight to gamers worldwide.
The NeoGeo Mini comes in two variants, the Japanese variant and the
international variant, and features forty of the finest NeoGeo games for anyone
to enjoy and indulge either at home or on-the-go and even during power outages
and severe weather disturbances. It is because the NeoGeo Mini is a portable
retro gaming system that looks like a real NeoGeo arcade system but way smaller
than the original and sports a 4-inch LCD display plus a rechargeable battery
where you can enjoy the system for up to 8 hours or so.

The only big difference between the Japanese NeoGeo Mini and the
international one is without question the games that are included in the
system. For example, the Japanese variant has almost all of the King of Fighters
games which were available on the system but the international one is literally
headlined by the Metal Slug series. Aside from games that are available to play
on any of the two variants, some of the system's built-in games are exclusively
included in either the Japanese or international variant.
Regardless of what you think of the included games, the NeoGeo Mini may
probably be one of the few systems that will remind us of our own childhood gaming
memories and eventually encourage us to relive them all over again and share
their experiences to the next generation. Time to gear up and play like you're
in the arcades all over again with the SNK NeoGeo Mini!!
The NeoGeo Mini International is available for only Php6,395.00 at Game
One PH stores nationwide or online via GameOne.ph. Follow @GameOnePH on Facebook
