Believe it or not, OPPO continues to make an impact of its own in the Philippine smartphone market with its own strong lineup of smartphones with innovative features that suit the growing digital lifestyle needs of tech-savvy Filipino consumers bundled with intriguing surges of impressive marketing campaigns. It is no wonder why the Chinese-based globally renouned mobile phone brand remains one of the most popular in the market, and it looks like it is set to further expand its presence in our local shores with the holiday season on the roll.

Unbeknownst to local tech enthusiasts and addicts, OPPO is the latest addition to a rare number of mobile phone companies around the world to have its own sub-brand in efforts to remain resilient in the market with a new line of standout products of its own. A few months ago, OPPO officially introduced its own sub-brand named RealMe that strives to release innovative products with a complementative style and design that could cater to the millennial generation. Unfortunately, it was initially made possible in India but I was surprised by its unprecedented success there.

The RealMe 1 and RealMe 2, the sub-brand's first smartphones, have literally garnered a strong traction in the Indian smartphone market in just a short span of time. The first was among Amazon's bestsellers list following its successful release last summer, while the other has sold more than 50,000 units just two days after its availability. I don't know how these two have managed to capture such success, but I believe it can be possible that any one of these two are not to be belittled or underestimated once they become available in our local shores.

Recently, I've just learned from local tech blogs that OPPO is looking to expand the presence of its sub-brand RealMe in other markets around the world following its overwhelming success in India and first on its list is Southeast Asia, more particularly the Philippines which remains filled with strong and healthy competition. In my case, it will be without question or doubt that RealMe will make its impact in our local shores within the holiday season though we are unsure if either the RealMe 1, RealMe 2 or both probably becomes the first to become available. It looks like we should stay trubed and updated on its next move before we can look at what it can offer to any Filipino consumer's table.
