September 20, 2018 was no ordinary day for the thousands of people who
have gathered at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds as they were treated to an
exciting concert experience like no other through FREEniverSaya: A freenet
Anniversary Concert. This is Voyager Innovations' own way of thanking the
millions of Filipinos, young and old alike, for welcoming and entering greener
into their own digital space since it was launched in 2015.
What makes this special day more intriguing is that they were able to
enjoy the concert for free without the need to earn enough money to buy tickets
for such an important affair considering that those who have attended the
concert are among the eight million Filipino mobile internet users who have
access to a bevy of sites and mobile apps available on the service. These
so-called freenetizens were able to earn enough points and redeem their own
tickets through constantly completing various missions on the freenet mobile
app such as browsing sites, downloading apps and friend referrals.
Thousands in joyful attendance were able to enjoy great musical
performances from KZ Tandingan, Moira dela Torre, Shanti Dope, Gloc-9, Hashtags
and Ben&Ben among others with local internet sensation Kaladkaren Davila
and Luis Manzano adding more fun and flavor to the event as hosts. Apart from
the fun and exciting performances that rocked the concert grounds, many freenetizens
were able to refresh themselves with food and drinks that they have purchased
in various booths situated around the venue via Paymaya QR on their smartphones.
Heck, some of them were able to take home a bunch of prizes and freebies from
freenet's partner brands.
On the other hand, those who can't make it to the concert were able to
enjoy the festivities in the comforts of their own home as freenet streamed the
entire event live on its official Facebook page. Oh, and let's not forget the
fact that we can expect more on the top free lifestyle app for mobile devices
in the Philippines. One case in point is its new Netzee Hour where freenetizens
can enjoy free access to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram everyday from 7 to 8
am, play some of their favorite online mobile games during lunch break, and
sing their hearts out on the Smule app every night.
With these in mind, all I can say is the highly-successful concert is
probably the best and most enjoyable way for freenet to celebrate its 3rd year
anniversary and I will be looking forward to what's in store for the free online
mobile service in the coming months since I am now a constant freenetizen.
