If you have owned the latest Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphone, then
you will have chances to communicate with your friends and loved ones through
WiFi connectivity. Heck, you can even do that without the need of call and text
load on your smartphone. This is because Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Note 9, S9 and
S9 Plus will have VoWiFi support and it will become possible because of Smart
Communications Inc.
One of the leading telecommunications companies in the Philippines has forged
a partnership deal with the Korean-based mobile and home electronics giant
which allows the brand to provide and allow VoWiFi (Voice Over WiFi) support on
some of its recently available flagship smartphones and it would become
available starting the month of October upon release of the latest firmware
update which can be downloaded over-the-air on the devices that are mentioned
above.
In case you don't know, VoWiFi (Voice Over WiFi) is a unique service where
smartphone users can make, send and receive call and text messages to their
friends and loved ones through WiFi connectivity, and they don't even need to
install a third-party dialer app to do so. Smart Communications may probably be
the first in the Philippines to roll out such a highly-engaging innovative service
such as this considering that it has been introducing a lot of industry
innovations that could suit the digital lifestyle needs of more Filipino consumers
in the near future.
