Globe Telecom, the premiere purveyor of the Filipino digital lifestyle, is literally set to showcase its own love and support for Filipino talent and content and redefine local primetime entertainment through its recently forged partnerships with ABS-CBN Corporation's iWant, the Philippines' premiere online video streaming service, and iflix, the leading online entertainment service in Asia today, which aims to offer a more robust library of local and international movies and television shows that can cater to the demanding cravings of local binge-watchers.

Now, more than 65 million Globe mobile and broadband subscribers nationwide can enjoy the best of what they love on two of the most popular video streaming services in the country today. The new and improved iWant provides Filipinos free access to its extensive library of original shows and movies, current and past ABS-CBN shows, local box-office hits, restored film classics, live sporting events and specials, and music. On the other hand, iflix offers an extensive lineup of powerhouse Filipino mainstream and independent films as well as its own bevy of original shows that are exclusive to the platform such as Hot Ones, Hoy! Bibig Mo, and Live Life with Kris.

As a literal starter pack to Globe's newfound love for more Filipino entertainment, mobile users can enjoy watching their favorite TV shows and movies on their smartphones on iWant and iflix for as low as Php29 via Globe's GoWATCH which provides 2 GB of data for video streaming for one day. Meanwhile, those who have powered their smartphone with a TM SIM card can experience the same for as low as Php19 via TM's EasyWATCH offer (1 GB of data for videos for one day). In the coming months, there will be lots more in store for Globe mobile and even Globe At Home broadband subscribers.

Aside from its reforged partnerships, Globe continues its enduring efforts to raise local love for Filipino talent and content with the second season of .giff (Globe Independent Film Festival) and Elements: The Series through its entertainment production arm Globe Studios. Celebrating the modern Filipino cinema scene by providing aspiring and budding local filmmakers their long-awaited break, the .giff is holding three main programs in search for the next Filipino film classic, namely: (1) .giff Streaming Competition where filmmakers can submit their ready-made films in the following categories: Narrative, Experimental, Animation, Documentary and Music Video; (2) .giff Short Film Lab where ten aspiring filmmakers will get a grant and a mentorship program to complete a short film which will be presented in the festival awards on April 2019; and (3) .giff Cinema Writing Lab where 10 selected film journalists and writers are set to undergo a mentorship program on writing about the art of film. More information about these programs can be viewed at giff.ph.

On the other hand, Elements: The Series features the real-life journey of several aspiring musicians who are part of the Elements Music Camp, a national singing-songwriting camp with the goal of helping local music talents reach their full potential and eventually pave their own way towards the path in growing the local music scene. Music lovers can get their first dibs on some of the campers' inspirational journey as it will be exclusively available for free on iflix. These new endeavors are part of Globe Telecom's ongoing #PlayItRight advocacy in helping the local entertainment industry curb piracy and protect intellectual property rights and encouraging Filipino binge-watchers to enjoy watching on legitimate online streaming services and stay safe.
