ONE Championship, the largest mixed martial arts organization in Asia, made and delivered a blockbuster milestone during the press conference of the recently concluded Heart of the Lion show in Singapore that is catered to be a surprising delight for gaming enthusiasts and professional gaming fans around the world, and that would be the impending staging of a massive eSports tournament which will be named ONE eSports.

Yes, you got that right. ONE Championship is crossing over mixed martial arts and entering the world of professional gaming with Japanese advertising company Dentsu and gaming brand Razer expressing their support over the new endeavor and a US$50 million venture to boot. Slated to begin within 2019, ONE eSports' series of professional gaming tournaments will complement the organization's bevy of MMA events in different parts of Asia that was announced a few months ago and feature some of the best pro gamers and teams from around the world in various blockbuster eSports titles.

ONE Championship will be committed to bring its own brand of large-scale event production, live broadcast capabilities, unique world-class content production, global media distribution, storytelling expertise and marketing experience to ONE eSports through a bevy of live events, documentaries, weekly magazine shows, reality shows, highlights, video blogs and more content in over 130 countries as well as its online platforms. As an added bonus, ONE has tapped its newest acquisition Demitrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson as the chief brand ambassador for ONE eSports. Without question, ONE eSports is one exciting endeavor that even those who don't much about professional gaming should look forward to.

Following the highly phenomenal blockbuster signings of Eddie "The Underground King" Alvarez and Demitrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson who are slated to compete in next year's ONE Grand Prix, ONE Championship has officially tapped former UFC women's bantamweight champion Miesha "Cupcake" Tate as its new vice president. It was announced by no less than ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong on social media last November 8, 2018.

Tate has been one of the major players in the growth and evolution of women's mixed martial arts during her career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. She captured the UFC women's bantamweight title in March 2016 before announcing her retirement eight months after with an 18-2 win-loss record. She is not only the newest blockbuster addition to Asia's largest MMA organization but also the latest among MMA fighters who are making the shift to executive posts.
