2019
is starting to become an intriguingly interesting year for video games with Resident
Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3 gaining their own traction in the global market,
but what really capped off the start of the new year is none other than Apex
Legends, an online multiplayer first-person shoot fest published by Electronic
Arts and developed by Respawn Entertainment of Titanfall fame. In fact, Apex
Legends is already a strong candidate for sleeper hit for the year of the Earth
Pig and there are a bevy of good things you should know about it that would
really interest you a lot.
For
starters, Apex Legends is Respawn's own battle royale marvel that follows the
likes of PUBG and Rules of Survival (RoS) in its own way. If you're a fan of
Titanfall, then you can never go wrong trying it out considering that it takes
place 30 years after the events of Titanfall 2. But what makes this game uniquely
different from other battle royale games are its sleuth of character classes to
play as, voice chat during gameplay, and the ability to man a 3-player squad to
pit against up to 19 other teams for literal survival and pride. The best thing
about Apex Legends among everything else is that it is free to play and
supported by microtransactions where you can purchase battle passes, loot boxes
and others that can't be availed by in-game funds.
If
you're new to the battle royale genre that continues to sweep the gaming world
by storm and even Apex Legends, then here's more of what you need to know.
Anyway,
Apex Legends has created quite a scene in the gaming world and gained some new records
along the way. Who would have thought that it has one million registered players
24 hours after its release and eventually reached ten million in just three
days and 25 million after a week? Heck, it even has the most number of user players on the renouned
streaming site Twitch. Aside from these overwhelming stats, Apex Legends has
also received a highly impressive positive reception from various gaming news
and review sites such as GameSpot (9/10) and GamesRadar (*****). These just
prove that no one can never go wrong in having your own Titanfall experience in
the form of a battle royale multiplayer mayhem.
